I got something like “thanks man, very nice abel” from some french player who played a decent Guile. I also got “HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! YEAHHHHHHHHh!!!” from my friend when he won one match over me with Chun. Since the last time we played it was like 9-1 in my favour I’m not bothered.

I actually wrote him back saying I would have gladly used combos if I needed to, but he kept falling for the throw, and they are escapable, just harder for Abel to do so.
And I got this reply:

My only two significant hatemails on 4 were both from Akumas…and not the good kind
#1. It’s down to the wire, and he’s just nailed a dizzy, so obviously an ultra is going to be served on the plate that is my ass. He butchers the motion 3, maybe 4 times and I recover and hit him once for the kill

Him: “Eat a dick”
#2. One hit away from a perfect, and he hits an ultra on a jumpback of mine. Afterwards, he sits in the opposite corner. A good 20 seconds pass, I’m more or less willing to wait a minute and a half for a win, he recognizes this, jumps in, eats it.
Him: "You pussey"
Me: “At least be proud you nailed the super, I’m sure it takes you a couple tries”

I get a fair amount of puerile 360 shittalking when I play online, yet the level of abuse one receives on the PS3 is truly some next level shit. I was at my friend’s place last week and he was playing some player matches (not even ranked matches) as Viper and was scrubbing the other guy terribly (my friend and I are both scrubby so you can imagine how bad this online stranger was) when he rage quit.
A few minutes later, we saw that two messages had arrived. They contained the following NSFW pictures: pic one and pic two.
Laughing yet slightly shaken, we continued playing. A couple hours later, we received two more messages, again with NSFW pictures attached: pic three and pic four.
I’ll take being repeatedly called an n-f any day over the sort of disturbingly offensive behavior that guy displayed on PSN. I hope he plays sf4 in arcades and exposes himself publicly in a similar manner.
The experience was riotously funny yet I felt sullied afterward.

I knew the person I was facing was going to be Sagat. He had the ‘Anti-Shoryuken’ gold title. I pick Dan. Every time he comes at me I hit with a HP Koryuken. He dies as I jump taunt around.

Haha, I got a voice message from this guy too. He picked Ken and jumped in at the start of the round, shoryukened, got blocked, got command thrown. Did shoryuken on wakeup, got blocked, got command throwed. Did ultra on wakeup, got blocked, got command throwed. Then I hear him shouting over the mic “YOU AINT GETTING NO FUCKING POINTS FOR THIS!” and he disconnected. I sent him a message that said “Hahaha, pussy little bitch” and he sent a rambling voice message explaining that he had actually won, since I was host and I lost connection to him, that automatically gives him the win. He topped it off with. “Ha ha ha. … Pussy little bitch that, motherfucker!”

i’ve had a surprising amount of love rather than hate. i received a lot of hate mail and loser smack talk playing HDR, but all i get are good game replies from this game.
I must admit I sent a msg after losing today, but only cause the guy frustrated the shit outta me.
We start, I immediately move to Cammy; he moves his cursor around abit and stops at Seth; which I kinda laugh about. Then he lets the cursor sit for the next 25 seconds (apparently do quick research for the worst match up for Cammy?) Moves to gief and TURTLES THE WHOLE FIGHT; poking me a few times and keeping me at bay with cyclones.
Anyway my msg was simple and nothing to “Raging”
“Consider that a freebie, but please next DON’T TAKE SO LONG TO COUNTER PICK CAMMY”
…the long amount of waiting got to me, the loss; was a learning experience.

Whenever someone takes forever because they’re trying to counter-pick I just move their cursor over whoever they’re highlighting. They move, I follow them. Then it starts a game of cursor-chicken that goes on until time’s nearly out and someone’s forced to pick a dude regardless of who the other guy’s picking. Works every time
I had a guy threaten to “report me” for using “hacks” that allowed me to “juggle anything”. My guess is that he was referring to FADC combos, which he must have never seen before. Then he sent me a friend request. :looney:
