I went about 6 player matches with a guy, I used a different character every time and never lost. I used Guile, Chun, Bison, Viper, Abel, and then Guile again (I rarely use any of the normal Shotos in player matches cause its rape on the other guy). I could tell he was new to the game, but he had potentialā¦if he puts in the time he could be much, much better.
He messaged me with āHey, you are really good!ā and I sent back āThanks but Iām still very much a novice, great matchā.
So I actually managed to get some love instead of hate!

Iāve only started playing on Live today, using Abel, Viper and Honda. Havenāt gotten any hate yet, and only one message. The message was from a Gouken player who just said āGGā.
Best thing I got back from somebody was a person who beat me using a pretty decent Guile. I sent him āWow, nice Guile. Good fights!ā. He sent me back āMuch respect to an Abel player. Heās hard to use!ā. Eh, heās not that hard but all-righty. No hate yet, thoughā¦
More hate last night. A player named agaxi4. He picked Fei Long and spammed Rekka Kenās all match. I countered them with Knee Pressās and throws. He then sends a message simply saying āYUR A PUZZYā.
I beated some french dude today (double perfected, that shit must hurt a lot).
He was playing Zangief. He tryed to get close, but constantly got hit by air/ground freballs. He kept doing lariat to them, just so I can walk a little bit and sweep him.
He PMāed me some shit I didnāt understad cause it was in french, I only catched ānoobā.
So yeah, he sounded pretty pissed. Those messeges are pretty funny actually. xD
Got a ragequitter tonight, āNattyDread187ā on XBL. Sagat player. He took the loss the first time, then got a rematch and disconnected after dropping round one.
I sent him āItās a game, losing is part of improving. Just take the loss next time and move on.ā

I lost to a random scrub Ken as well. I donāt know if it was the slight lag, or just bad luck, or me just not being on my game, but I felt like shit afterwards. Unlike every other online Ken scrub he was a complete turtle and I just managed to play even worse than he did. Didnāt send any hate mail, just wallowed in misery. Other than that I had some great games against some refreshingly good players.
I put a beating on that kid (NattyDread187) that his grandchildren will feel when they are born. (Player match)
He took the lossā¦but I tried to rematch him like four times after that and he kicked me every time.
I know the feeling. Happened to me yesterday as well. Oh well, more practice.
Hey, you know what we should do? We should message the scrubs that beat us with hate mail! With profanity! And misspelled words! If all the scrubs thinks that validates their losing and sucking, maybe itāll work for us to, right?

Some funny replies on here. I need to get better so I can get some hate mail, Iām sure itās entertaining as hell. Iāve only gotten one noob asking how to do an Ultra. Or maybe there isnāt that much hate in non-ranked matches, Iāve yet to play a ranked match.
Seeā¦thatās the other thing I donāt understand. Why would the game have a kick function if the other person can just come right back in your room again? I would think one of the bigger ideas behind the kick feature is to make it so a person can no longer enter your active room until you re-open another room.
The kick feature seems to do nothing more than politely walk the opponent out of your room so they can just walk back in again. Thatās not even an upgrade from the CVS2 EO days. People can still spam up your room even with the kick feature. :tdown:

I meanā¦who cares about being an asshole online. Thatās almost what Xbox Live is for. If you wanna spam up someoneās room again after they already kicked you outā¦thatās on you. Youāre not going to jail for it and the worst that may happen is you get reported for it if enough people are seriously annoyed by it (which even that is unlikely). You donāt have to care about anyoneās feelings over a video game online. Thereās no real point to unless you want to help them become a better player.

there are some disgraceful jap players out there. geez I played nothing but people from japan last night. I lost one game out of all of them. there was a good dictator out of the bunch.
I donāt know if PSN has a report system like XBL does, but if I got that on XBL I would seriously report that. I donāt care if people call me all the usual shit (My sagat got called a āFUCKING TIGER PUSSY BITCHā once), but once you break out the racism card you are crossing the line.
I think DevilJinās point was that it doesnāt really matter if you are annoying him by doing stuff within the limits of the game though. Thereās nothing inherently wrong about joining someoneās lobby twice in a row. Sometimes I even do it by accident when just looking for a random game. Youāre not being a bad sport by offerring to play again.
And thats a fair point. alas, it was far from what he said. And youre right, ill sometimes join the same guy a couple times by accidentā¦ it happens.
But yea, I care about people being assholes online, thats not what live is for, thereās no appropriate place for that kind of shit. But the ābah who cares its just the internetā attitude only encourages people even more. That message was actually posted a while back in this thread. Ive been lucky enough and have only run into a couple idiots. But yea, that kind of mindset doesnt help with it any.
