After losing the first round (yea, I should have been playing and not chatting with friends… but whatever) I get the asshat on the other end laughing and yelling noob through the mic. (sigh, no manners)
So i figure fine, lets do this. I proceed to romp him in the next round and he says… not as loud as the frist time… “pfft, youre still a noob” then I take the next round pretty cleanly as well, and I just let out a “whos the noob now?”

I am like you…I pick my character in the first two seconds, sometimes I spend a moment scrolling through colors just for fun…but the whole thing takes me maybe 3-4 seconds.

The best message I got was this morning some guy fought me only cause I had anti-shoryuken as my title and he. Pppicked ryu I played him with sagat and lost the first two rounds came back for the next 2 rounds then he tries to catch me with the ultra so jump medium kick then ultra game over then he says your gay don’t play this fucking game anymore not my fault he can’t stop a tiger destruction hahahaha lol

I’ve gotten a few good game messages, nothing negative yet… But one thing that I thought was pretty funny is that when people challenge me, I like to wait until they pick their character first… I mean, you challenged me right? Show me what you got… Apparently though… Some dude didn’t like that last night and he started talking trash over his mic… I have a headset but I don’t like using it for this game. Mind you, he was like; why are you scared to pick your character before I do huh? Ehh, you’re probably one of these no skill amateurs… Ok… He picked Balrog, I picked Sagat, whooped his ass first round… Still talking trash… I let him hit me a bit to build my revenge meter, whooped him, and did an ultra combo finish. nEEEXXXXTT…

You are of course free to do so, but I would find it annoying. Just pick a character…unless its a ranked match, who cares?
((Even if it is a ranked match…I would still say “who cares”…I would only start to really care about win/loss records if it was a tourney or something)).
I’m not saying he was right, clearly he was an ass…but I would have left your lobby…always forcing the other person to pick first is just annoying, imho.

damn, still nothing! i played at least 20 ranked matches today and i only got two ragequiters and no messages. i think i only lost two matches too (and i actually suck at this game so goes to show the massive amount of scrubs online at the moment). i’m a cheap-ass blanka player using most of his shinanigans and still nobody was pissed off enough to message me hate mail. i’m going to start taunting during matches

why is it so many people have rooms set up then when you challenge them they just boot you immediately? Cant be latency, which if no one has said it yet the latency meter is completely inaccurate the best matches I have had so far were all supposedly the worst connection possible. And we all just need to be patient Street fighter is a really big name so of course there are going to be millions and millions of super scrubs that are gonna pull on you and only pick shotos and only use Fierce and Roundhouse attacks but after a couple of months a new halo or some other big name fps will come along and alot of them will go off and play that.
Also tired of people only going one match then quitting that is weak.

I’ve encountered 1 Sagat who tried to do this to my Ken, and I shut him down pretty fast.
Sadly, I’ve also encountered all the other Ken players who just j.RH >> c.RH. It’ll get better as time goes on (either people will get better, or they’ll leave, as has been stated).

I got one just a few minutes ago. Joined a lobby and started the match. I picked my main (Ken) and he went to Akuma.
First round, he got me with Ultra demon
Second and third rounds I basically waited for him to make mistakes and beat him.
