Yeah he was indeed playing as Dictator.
Still not many angry messages, but had another funny headset encounter. Search Ranked matches for “Same skill” players, and get into a game. Guy comes on his headset and after asking if I had a headset says “You any good?” as he picks Ken. I respond, “Uh, yeah, I suppose.” and pick Dictator. Now, I play a pretty punishment-heavy Dictator, waiting for opportunities to throw in good counter attacks, but not so much turtling… agressive sometimes, defensive others, punishment always. This guy keeps doing the same two tactics: first is jumping in HK followed by either a sweeping HK or a Shoryuken, both of which I punish swiftly with LK Double Knee Press. Second is jumping to clear screen away and spamming Hadoukens, which I very easily punish with a Head Stomp (EX if available). I even through in a few Demon Reversals (the punch variation, not sure the proper name) just in case he were to try to Shoryuken my move, but he never did. After making the game 2-0 my favor (best of 5) he comes on the headset saying, “Dude, you gotta stop doing that fucking move, that’s so cheap.” I laughed and nearly perfected him the 3rd round, and every time I did the head stomp I heard him cursing on his end. I ended the match with a “Good game, man.” Surprisingly enough, I got no response… :rolleyes:
Also, I think the “Same skill” feature may be broken.
I’ve sent about 5 or 6 messages calling people bitches and pussy’s for dropping from ranked matches 2 seconds b4 they lose so they don’t lose any BP. it’s bullshit and capcom need to patch it ASAP.
Surprisingly, no hate mail yet. Just one 'Gief player with a headset was referring to me as a “cock-blower” for jumping back out of his grab range.
I have yet to receive any hate mail. Yet I seem to defeat a lot of people playing with sakura(main). The only message I got was from a Guile player to which I lost. It was a very good game that brought the best in me. He said: “GG: You play very well, it’s nice to see someone play that good and not using Ruy or Ken”.
Which I replied “Same to you, it’s indeed nice to play against someone that doesn’t take Ruy or Ken” and i added him to my friend list.
Otherwise I’ve had people ragequit on me when beating the crap out of them in the first round. I found out that the moment I use the combo: l.mk, ex tatsu, sakura otoshi. That people tend to ragequit. Probably because the combo “looks lethal”.
I recently got the message “You are incredibly cheap”.
Nothing fancy.
I was playing Sakura, he was Akuma. He beat me first round, second round I beat him. 3rd round was close and he beat me. He leaves after one fight, then i get a voice msg on XBL
“get some skills bitch, you suck at this game, you cock blocking ^&^&(^(^_)(&*%^&%$”

Got my first post ass-kicking msg today and was prepared for it to be insulting.
‘nice gen’ was all it said. I was quite surprised.
I have yet to get any hate mail, but I’ve sent the occasional messages to other people.
When someone drops I usually say some variant of what I’m feeling at the time, but I usually comment on mirror matches and other quirks.
Like this one guy who played Vega and at the beginning of every match he’d throw his claw off. When I beat him 3-1 with one perfect I sent him the message “Protip: Try keeping your claw on, you’re not nearly as good as you think you are”. I played him 2 more times and on the third time maybe he either recognized my name, or just learned his lesson cause he stopped that shit.
The other time I was playing 'Gief vs 'Gief and after I swept the rounds I sent him the msg: “Da! I am ze REEEEAL! ZANGIEF!”
Last time was Chun v Chun: “I’m prettier”
No negative feedback yet, just a GG and a voice message complimenting my Guile. Don’t know why I got the positive comment though both matches I lost iirc.
no bad msgs. just a couple drops right before KO (which pisses me off). but on the flip side i have got a few random gg’s… which was nice. i’ve also tried to send out a few myself.
but sometimes i wish i was on XBL (instead of PSN) & everyone had a mic. i’m sure the trash being spoken is unreal.
I’ve sent a lot of hatemail about peoples connections.
If you’re broke and get buy a good connection, don’t play online.

No hate mail for me yet, I’ve sent a few gg’s and gotten nice replies though.
So far all my post match messages have been “good game” or the equivalent.
If someone sticks it out and plays 3+ matches with me, I always take the time to message them “good game” regardless.
I have not gotten anything yet but after reading through some of this thread is surprising as I was using Ken…
