Probably one of the saddest things ive seen in a anime, not including anything that happened in grave of the fireflies.
As a manly man who never lets emotion crack through his tough manly skin I only have a few instances of crying like a bitch:
Beast wars transmutate episode fucking wrecked me, I still can’t watch that episode no matter how much I try to poker face it.
Nina from FMA made me stop watching that show for a few weeks…
UP was the worst family movie experience ever. The tears didn’t stop for that opening scene and I eventually had to ninja my way to the bathroom to dry up eyes once the opening scene was over.
Futurama dog episode was just cold and unfair, seriously cannot even watch that episode without reverting back to bitch cry mode.
In lost odyssey there is this 1 part early in the game when the lead character remembered a sick girl he used to visit yearly. I forget the exact details but I just remember after that sequence was done I had to take a small 5 break before getting back into it.
That “Transmutate” episode was some heavy stuff. And it came right after “Code of Hero” too. What were they trying to do to us?
I know that was the most fucked up sequence of episodes ever. 1st let’s kill my favorite character then kill off a mentally chanllenged robot right after…I probably am as emotionally detached as I am thanks to that show.
