Are we trying to argue that the FGC is the least shitty community? Or that it’s not shitty at all? Because I can see how someone could think it’s the least shitty. But from my experience I find it just as bad.
Can’t blame anyone for your losses other than yourself and you punch and kick people a lot more than the other communities.

I play some fighting games and Overwatch and it’s honestly just shit on both ends. In fact both games made me switch my console settings so that people who aren’t in my friend list can’t send me messages anymore. It was actually that annoying.
The only difference being that you usually get hatemail for winning in fighting games (‘you spam/mash/etc.’) and for losing in Overwatch (‘you suck, uninstall the game’).
You get assholes everywhere in all communities. The FGC at the higher levels is closer knit but you never know when a stupid mofo may trip off in any group sadly.
That being said their are plenty of factors chief among them most fighting games until recently have more local affairs especially if you wanted to get elite, you need to play great talent, respect what they do to either mimic or counter it and not make them avoid matches.
Otherwise just playing a bunch of random folk your ceiling will be pretty low for success.
