What makes a good MvC2 player?

I think it comes from a lot of playing and consistency.

I’ve seen people with great combos lose, because they mess up or make too many mistakes.

But an average player who lands his combo every time, can easily win.

What do u think?

knowledge, intelligence and execution…

if you don’t have knowledge you don’t know what to expect and will keep complaining that the controls don’t work every time anyone does a guard break…

if you don’t have intelligence you won’t be able to get out from your opponent’s strategy and will be trashed

if you don’t have a good execution, even if you know what they’re throwing at you (knowledge) and manages to get out (intelligence) you’ll mess up your combos and will lose

You can get those 3 skills only by playing a lot against good competition

from what I’ve seen

-strategy
-defense
-adapting quickly

I strongly agree with adaptation. If you can’t modify your strategy in any situation, it just looks great on paper.

My thoughts exactly.

I think my problem is I get baited easily, but I’m learning to adapt. One thing I do to help this, is choose one team. And change my strategy until I win, it’s been working.

  1. Execution (I really do think this should be the first one to put in mind)
  2. Good Team Strategy/ Anti-Team Strategy
  3. Defense.

i agree with adapting quickly though… seems it’s already part of my no.2

mashing + luck
