Gonna point this part out to people:
Christ, that sound bad. Isn’t there any counselling you can get for that? There’s no need to ruin your future because a mental illness. Don’t be ashamed about this.
Life’s tough so stay strong OP.
Yep, its official, I was kicked out. I am definitely dropping out, I had the performance, I just did not meet the deadlines. I’ll give 100% if I find an online school again, but if I have to go to public school, the anxiety disorder will make me cut my stomach out to get rid of it.
Have you tried talking with school officials regarding your situation? Maybe there are some alternative programs that will allow you to finish school in an environment that you’ll feel more comfortable in?
If you’re serious about quitting school, why don’t you start pricing places to live and all your necessary expenses? Then you’ll have a better idea what kind of salary you’ll be needing, or if it’s even financially possible for you to do so.
I imagine that you could get a job in fast food, certain areas of retail, or janitorial. There’s also maybe construction, but the work may not be very steady. In any case, prepare yourself for a hard life filled with 60 to 80 work weeks to make ends meet.
I don’t know what the minimum wage is but let’s assume it’s $8/hour.
So you can probably expect to gross between $25,000 and $33,000 ($2,083 to $2,750 monthly), if you’re willing to work 60 to 80 hours per week, and about $16,500 ($1,375 monthly) if you only want to work 40 hours. I didn’t take overtime into account because most fast food place probably won’t give you overtime consistently. So, if you want to work more than 40 hours, you’ll probably have to do it through multiple jobs.
Not many people would be willing to work 80 hours per week, but since you want to keep to yourself anyway, it shouldn’t affect you that much. Assuming that you sleep 7 hours per day, you’ll still have 33 hours per week for travel time to and from work, and leisure/errand time.
mickey Ds…
you better be lovin it bitch!:xeye:
Can you just study and take the GED? Then take the SAT and just enroll in a community college.
Took a look a the title and thought this was a joke thread…
I’m sorry it’s not. Also - I’m sorry for the internet…never sorry for SRK though.
House? My nigga, a minimum wage job won’t get you an apartment w/ utilities and shit(even with government assistance)…
Finish high school and do a 2 year program at a community college and then get that decent money you want…
its not hard to become a doctor…anyone can be a doctor.
if that isn’t true i don’t know what is.
now, rocket scientist, now thats hard.
thats a whole different matter altogether.
and you can make alotta money even without a high school diploma or a ged.
it just depends what you’ll do, and how hard you’re willing to work.
hell, arnold schwartzenegger become a millionaire from being a contractor before ever winning mr. olympia or becoming an actor.
dude was an illegal immigrant & spoke almost no english, worked his ass off as a contractor with a fellow austrian pal, also an immigrant, and became a millionaire doing manual labor.
hard work>everything else.
i’m not saying an education isn’t important…i’m not trying to contradict your valid points…but its not like life is over if you don’t have a diploma.
You have many options friend, don’t give up!

Start a business, Capitalism always benefits those who own over those who don’t. Why don’t you make a job instead of taking jobs? Create an idea, write a business plan and go to your parents with it. I know they’ll love your drive and help you see it through.

Learn a technical skill. If you can program, you’re set for life. Due to our increasingly technical world, programmers will be in dire need in every country on the planet. (Until they build robots that can self-program, then Skynet.).
-
Learn a trade, trades are a fine way to make a living and the manufacturing industry is looking for workers with a background in trades.
-
Enroll in a College, its what you with the Degree not where its from. Online Colleges may be the best bet for you but remember that they don’t have the prestige of a physical University, yet. Access the Online Schools of Stanford and other Elite Universities, they education Thousands of people for free.
Let me be honest, due to our increasingly manufactured and technical world, there are no more DUMMY JOBS. DUMMY JOBS are jobs that are available for people who didn’t graduate High School and go on to higher education and make a living. Those jobs are gone, they aren’t even moved to China anymore, they are automated. There are two types of jobs now, jobs that pay a huge check due to the fact they require a precise and fine-toothed skill that no Computer can replicate or shitty jobs that no Computer can replicate. My Shoprite is replacing its Cashiers with Robots, the age of the job is done for most Americans. You either need a good skill or to start a business. Unless the USA Finally ditches the Anglo-Saxon Economic Model and moves the Nordic Model, these problems will persist into the future no matter what. I wish you the best of luck, take care.
As someone with a GED who can’t find work anywhere, stay in school fool!
This is the real problem. You need help and you need to learn to cope with your problems. It won’t go away on its own. You need medical advice.
It’s rough though, because it seems your family wants you to fail. Do you have any family who would be willing to help? Grandma? Cousins? Making it on your own would be the hardest and longest path.
Keep searching for a way to get your GED, even if it takes years. There are smaller schools out there for what some people might call ‘outcasts’ of the general high school population. I’ve found most of these people have serious mental issues, like yourself.
Fool! Lord Darksied would not be pleased with that Development…
dat diplima:hp:
BOOOOYAAAAAA for some reason they offered another program…which they own… don’t know the point of kicking me out, just to join another one…they own…at the same place
High School does not matter but having a HS Diploma does. Get your HS Diploma. You will be labeled an idiot if you do not. Even if you are not. There are Community colleges, and you can do well and still get into a good college. But even if college is not your thing you can still join the military or start your own buisiness if you know how to do that. If you have a talent nurture it. But get that Diploma at LEAST.
