ok, update #2:
i’ve made it to #4 in europe #16 in the world on psn as guile with 8750 bp
as for player points, i’m up to 3850pp (which puts me at #35 in europe) and would be at around 4200 if i hadn’t been stupid enough to use seth a couple of times.
this without doubt proves that the points system sucks balls. i’m an above average guile. nothing more, nothing less.
p.s - its really silly how it shows how many times you’ve used the character, because it also includes your matches in endless/team mode with that character. for example, it says i’ve played 1000 matches with guile, even though just ranked matches is closer to 600.
I have gained and lost so many PP, heck, there are still several matchups in Super I have never even played once yet, FFS, its gonna be a heavy learning curve for the cast, esp if you picked up someone new.
I havent even fought Honda yet lol, not once, in like 900 matches or something, like Elf 3 times, 49786 Ryus and Kens…
I think im almost at 4K BP (6000 total, does that even matter?) with Dudley now, and im all over the goddamn place with PP, anywhere from 1500-2000, I still see new shit every day, heck Killey has such a different Juri from all the others I have seen yet, I was just like “wow, she can do what now?”. Its gonna take ALOT of matches to get the full run of the cast, im digging the new jazz though.
ranking sucks ass, I’ve fought and beaten rodgerpower14 (Ken player, not so good), Cravin456 (Ryu player, decent), Source34 (Sagat player, decent), only gagapa (good Dictator player) beat me, would like a rematch, dude is aggressive and I’m a decent player at best. Seriously guys, dont take the ranking seriously, best thing to do is look for good players, add them to your friends’ list and play endless/team battle. I hope they put back the championship mode.
I personally prefer it to Ranked, because I always found matches easily and was always sure to fight someone in my level.
when you play ranked do you look for custum search matches? I always go for more skilled player find…

I don’t think that or any online matches really matters. I’m around 5800 BP and I’ve been getting points from a lot of shitty players without being able to link and stuff, yet my PP dropped a lot because I’ve been practicing my shitty Adon and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I actually had some hate mails because I had 5000+ BP, it’s silly how people take these numbers too seriously.

I use Balrog in the ranked matches too, but I found that my Balrog is not that good anymore and i make a lot of amatuerish mistakes like random headbutts etc. PArt of the reason why my PP went down from 3900

well, yeah it was sonicnoob23, skid2nyce invites me very often to his endless which are packed with more guile mirrors. I havent played pitt84 but there are a couple of guiles who have outplayed me from psn: slamrock, threedragons, el_general to name a few. Im looking forward to step to that level, I hope I can get introduced to some of the top players you know. About loosing , well I have never been able to get to 4000PP because I always play odd. LOL. Yesterday I came from pub and played 10 ranked matches and lost like 4 because I was slow and drunk. -400 PP. I just admire your dedication to obtain 5000+PP, it seems you take the matches real serious and I dont doubt you can teach me a couple of things, like being more basic.
He any good Monsterer? Right now I’m at 10200+ BP with Guile but my player points are only in the 2k area because I’m trying for the Shinning C trophy on and off. My goal is to get an A ranked Guile and see where it goes from there.
Personally, it does take skill and dedication to get up into the B or B+ ranks of BP. PP go up and down and the higher those are, the more well rounded the player is. Or that’s what I found at least. I’d like to think I’d be in the 4k area of PP if I stuck with Guile only on Ranking, but I just don’t care that much atm. After I get my trophy, I’ll take more care of my PP.
I find it interesting when people switch accounts and have these low pp/bp characters and end up putting up one hell of a fight. It sucks when I’m using Guile because I have way too much to lose and not that much to gain for beating them.
LOL, I change accounts when I am really drunk and I end up playing actually decent enough to beat B+ players, you can imagine the hate mail I get. LOL. I try to play endless mostly but oh well, they have done it to me so why not. That’s why I said that in rank you have to play a few matches and be real serious if you want your PP to be good. To be honest, I have never reached 4000 PP due to many things but I know I am able to give hell and beat the 4000 PP players, my biggest problem is that I play 1-2 bar connections.
My goal is A rank, im at 14000 BP already, and I must say that some of you guys who I know (aero,fire,testament, wikum,etc) give me better fights than some of the higher ranked on psn.
