I have been trying to get hold of the name of this arcade fighting game in the 90s. Ill try to be as detailed as i possibly can. Its a 2D versus with a max of 2 players. The characters were basically:
-a chinese kung fu master. one of his attacks was the ability to flick his long chinese braid at the enemy.
-a golden man who is able to turn into a liquid. one of his attacks was either changing his form into a missile or becoming a puddle. when he wins, his victory action is transforming into a hand doing the “2” sign.
-a guy made out of fire. capable of shooting fireballs.
-an armored female warrior
those are the characters which i can remember on the top of my head.
their respective backgrounds are a chinese market, the white house with a helicopter, a furnace, and a battlefield with horses passing by occasionally.
i know it all sounds really weird but hopefully someone is familiar with it.
Try googling a site called the killer list of videogames. Just from the sounds alone I’m guessing it’s Martial Masters, but I never got to play that one.
@shaolin Showdown. I’m thinking that would’ve made a good game as it did a good show, but it doesn’t look like we’ll ever know.
Only games I know of with an armored female warrior are Samurai Showdown and World Heroes. Didn’t play much of World Heroes so the monk could possilby be in it. Not sure tho.
The other two characters definitely sound like Killer Instinct.
Maybe you played something wildly obscure? (Like the game 16 Bit suggested. I’ve never heard of that game)
I was thinking of cly fighters on snes, because the vicking opera woman lol she was something like an armor.
but the kunfu old man doesn’t sound familiar.
what kind of graphics did it have?Did it have digitised graphics? Sounds like one of those many un popular mortal kombat ripoffs. Like the jackie chan game
