You know the worst thing about A2 isn’t the game itself, but its idiot fans who like to pretend there’s nothing wrong with their game while they point accusatory fingers at A3. It’s sooooooo retarded.
while i feel A3 is an involution on every aspect (gameplay, music and stages) and has a foreign feeling to what i think Street Fighter is at its core, i don’t have anything against those who enjoy it.
the problem is that A2 gets seriously overlooked… everybody just assumes A3 might be the best since it’s the latest instalment, but the games are too different and A2 doesn’t get a chance to prove its worth for new players.
A2 although it has a few 100% does not have many infinites (i can only think of one with Akuma in a2 gold) A3 combos seem to go on forever and the game just ain’t right infinites that can b done from the start of the match, at least the 100% in a3 require meter to be performed and meter builds up so fast that it feels like you can always comeback. Sirlin was right A2 is better.
Comebacks in SF2? WTF is that? I’ve seen it happen, but you are so limited in that game that it comes down to okizeme Rock, Paper, Scissors game or something similar. Parry forces players to mixup and think what to do, not just spam same tactic. Spamming in SF2 is allowed and effective, but not in 3s, and that’s why it’s more fun to watch 3s matches.
HF is the game I’d recommend to someone who wants to learn the fundamentals of 2D-fighting. No gimmicks, no high execution barriers, no random game throwing shit. It’s just you and your opponent.
So many negative pts in 1 day.
So many scrubs who don’t know how to play fighting games.
So many combos in SSF2T even though you don’t need them because game revolves around Rock, Paper, Scissors guess games too much.
Yeah, because Super Turbo is REALLY balanced outside of like 4 characters also. :lame: Not to say I like 3S or anything, it’s just that ST is as hardly balanced as people make it to be.
Wait, are people actually DEFENDING A3? That game has no fucking consistency whatsoever. Even if it’s a far cry from what Street Fighter is supposed to be, the game itself is hideous at high level play.
I don’t know why people deny that 3s is the best. Learn to play the game and then figure out for yourself how good it is. As for “Spamming low forward into super” excuse, if you’re dumb enough to dash on opponent when you see him spam it instead of whiff punishing it, that doesn’t make the game bad. There are a lot of noobs who are into SSF2T because the game is simpler or they just never good good enough in modern SF games. The combo aspect of SSF2T is terrible, the game has no satisfying combos to land.
