I’m looking to capture CPS2/3 and possibly Naomi. Is my best bet to go with a scart splitter like the SB-3715 and a OSSC to a video capture
Actually if you are just doing Video capture, and you are splitting the analog video signal anyways the XRGB-mini Framemeister is the better choice when it comes to video capture.
The OSSC just line doubles the image and pass what ever video their is forwards with no changes to the Refresh rate, which alot of Arcade boards and home consoles do not output the correct 59.98hz refresh.
Prime examples is the Neo Geo MVS outputs 59.18hz and the SNES outputs 60.18hz, and some capture carts refuse this Input.
Framemeister might be laggy for real time play, but when it comes to live streaming or capture for recording, that lag would not effect a thing.
Its Common to see in tournaments that the individual players have small low latency displays while the crowd looks at a BIG SCREEN or even a Projector with a high amount of lag but good visual fidelity
Thank you for the comment. I will look into the framemeister.
@XeD
But forewarn the Framemeister is slowing down production as one of the parts they need is no longer made and they aren’t cheap.
Don’t spend too much for one.
