What is considered a "good" online win percentage for Vega?

What do you guys consider a good online win % for Claw?

I’m currently at 76.20%. Now that I am selecting “More Skilled” through fight request tho I am sure it will come down some.:xeye:

52% in the original sf4:P

On ranked I’ve got 86% on one XBL account, 78% on my brother’s one and 100% on ranked PSN(but I’ve not played it all thst much).
My overall win ratio is exactly 70%, but I’ve used Ibuki for around 600 of my 2500 games and lose the majority with her!

In SFIV my win rate was about 68%…but I improved greatly after initially being crapola.

Above 70% is good to me… even though I only have a 47% W/L ratio xD.

i’ll update when i update myself on this info. above 50% is decent i’d say. i think i’m somewhere around 60% but i’m not sure. in the beginning, all i did was serach for more skilled opponents and my percentage was around 52% or something… that was back when i was ranked in the C’s though i believe.

i bit off more than i could chew a lot, and always played the people who did/could beat me which of course ruined my percentage, but it was good learning experiences. today, i think i’ve got a good claw, but i’m still in consistent and will take losses i seriously shouldn’t.

what is about that percentage anyway, to make it higher you need to avoid playing pepople who have something to teach you, and bash the hell out people who can only make you reherse bad habits… not something I plan to do. I 'd play daigo (anybody decent) forever if i had the chance even if it led my percent win ratio to 1%.

Truth. Good advice is to not care about percentages and BP/PP and just do what it takes to get better. Don’t be afraid to let your guard down to have some fun if you get stressed out, or to try out other characters either. Having your PP go from 4300 to 2000 in a single night of trying out a new character is fairly liberating in a way, and when you play your main suddenly you feel less stressed. Its also funny when you pull some 12000BP character out of nowhere in team or tournament mode haha.

Optimally, you want to win as consistently as possible whether you play mostly online or offline. However, someone who has a 40% win ration but only has been playing for 3 or 4 months might not be doing too bad at all!

I used Ibuki who I was new to for the first two months. I have used her 2/3 of my total playtime, however I have been using Vega more and more now. I have over a 70% win ration. But I don’t really care if that’s good or bad. All I care about is what Ajunta and Meteo are talking about. Strong opponents, and having fun.

I thought yours would’ve been closer to 100% lol.

Playing offline >>>>> Win percentages tbh.

However , to contribute to the thread, anything under 60% is shameful, seeing as you take time to come on SRK and learn about your character, and play against mostly dp spamming scrubs who lack a clue about anything.

Under 60% is not shameful at all. People have different degrees of skill regardless of them coming to SRK to learn more. If anything playing online will skew your percentage lower because of the larger disadvantage Vega has in lag.

Also some people refuse to play people that beat them consistently, while others repeatedly choose better players in order to learn and improve.

This is so true. I was ridiculously frustrated recently by stalling out and losing PP that I just said screw it and dropped over 2k pp by playing my scrubby Viper instead. Ranked matches instantly became gasp fun again.

Plus it was so refreshing to switch back to Vega and actually get like 80 pp for winning instead of 12.

You state the truth, I just believe that winning is everything.

I’ve begun to not pay so much attention to the whole BP/PP thing anymore. The win ratio I look at simply because it’s character specific (I wasn’t referring to the overall win ratio). The BP/PP will always fluctuate with what you decide to do. If your just going to play scrubs, slowly but surely it will go up. Go out and play opponents who will beat your ass, and it will go down, but your learning, as others have stated, and that’s the only way to improve your game. It’s actually really cool when some super elite player sends you a msg and praises your Claw. Feels damn good.

I remeber playing you yonks ago on vanilla and you were really good.

I got a PS3 several months after owning it on vanilla and I was cruising through champ mode (95% or something) and remember meeting you and thinking ‘Jaysus, he’s decent!’.

Praise from a scrub lol!

The only reason why i play rank sometimes is because i dont feel like waiting in endless battle. I dont even take it seriously. In fact…no one should take it seriously, you dont gain money or respect by having a good win % online.

Just last week i dropped from 4k+ pp to 2-3k pp from just messing around and experimenting with vega’s ultra 1.

@ Ken B: Hey thanks man!

mines is over 85% on endless/team/tourny
and 82% on ranked

A good ranked win percentage would be 0. Because that means you stayed away from that shit and stuck to offline playing, or atleast endless lobbies.

i got a friend who mains bison. win % online is around 60.

always finishes top 5 at our local 30+ man tournies

bottom line is that it dosent matter because offline and online can be very different games
