Never watched G4. I always found the idea of gaming + major media a bad thing due to a lot of people’s elitist attitudes about gaming. Plus you know the people they hire won’t know shit about anything and just read from a prompter some fat kid in a D&D shirt wrote for them.
I’ll see it in the menu screen when I’m scrolling through channels and all I ever see is COPS and random, obscure and usually shitty movies like Big Trouble in Little China or something.
Techtv back in 02 was the shit and G4 was still pretty good up until 08 when all the reruns of old shows went off the air.

not really true…in the beginning of g4 they had alot of nerdy hosts and nerdy stuff…but then it degrated into mtv lite. and now its just like mtv…has nothing to do with games but like 1 show.

They had dope anime shows late at night(shoutouts to Rahxephon and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi), game trailers and shit as its own show, 2 game review shows(electronic playground or whatever was garbage tier compared to Xplay), and screensavers, the show that put me onto firefox iirc…

Yeah, so it’s basically going to become Spike 2, but perhaps a bit more “classy”?(resulting in even fewer people watching.) I’m eagerly anticipating how disastrous this new direction will be.
Of course I have no shame though… as long as they keep putting GORGEOUS pieces of ass on as the “on-air talent”, then I will most likely keep watching it. Sarah Fucking Underwood, man… Candace Bailey… Tiffany Smith… my baby Andy Allo if they could ever lure her back (her music career is apparently going well at the moment)…add more new sexpots to the lineup and there ya go…that’s how you get the GOLD ratings.
That being said…makes me very sad that even the SECONDARY channels that were suppose to be DEDICATED to the stuff that the main channel no longer did now pull the same shit…Toon Disney became Disney XD and dropped all their old shows. heh it was funny at one point they even had Naruto Shippuden on the station! never thought a disney channel would ever have Naruto. Cartoon network really dropping the ball there. Nicktoons? HA! they don’t exists anymore! not even on their own fucking station unless it’s late night and even then it’s still only spongebob and Fairly odd parents. FUCK! these shows have been on now for about half my own life! we’re talikng 13+ years and they still show it! they’ve had new episodes as recent as just a few years ago!
Also a very big FUCK YOU live action teen drama! ruining my once fav TV stations as I grew up.

I am SO glad that I stopped watching television over 5 years ago.
Ironically, the only thing I have even GLANCED at in passing, is G4 (Ninja Warrior, AoS), on occasion, when at the gym, and on a cardio machine. Shout outs to Yamamoto Shingo, and Candice’s camel toe.
