What grinds your gears?

I hate elitist gamers. And are you referring to that random clip after the match or the guy’s attitude? Either way, I’d be embarrassed and very salty if I were him.

People who lose a match and blame anything other than themselves for their loss (external factors nonwithstanding).

minute long intros to combo videos

@The video of some guy getting bodied: I understand where you are coming from and that it is kind of being a dick and rubbing it in his face, but that is true motivation. If you really have the desire to get better you will turn that into something positive. Also, that guy played that TERRIBLY. He had Phoenix at the beginning of the match and didn’t convert. Regardless, I hope that guy puts in the time to get better and continues to advance as a player.

Anyway, I really can’t stand people who don’t understand that there is more to playing a fighting game than combos and talk like they now everything about the game. How do you expect to land a combo if you can’t get in? o_O

That the newest games always seem to replace older games as far as tournaments go… makes the FGC seem so fickle. If Super Turbo is largely considered to be that good, Vampire Savior so balanced, SF3S such a complex fighter… why isn’t there as much support for them? And what happened to MvC2? The biggest tournament games of 2011 were all released in… 2011. If you count AE as a 2011 release. And we all know SFxT is a shoe-in for a large tournament showing, regardless of the game’s quality.

As a comparison, if I were to get back in to competitive FPS on PC, it’d still be CS 1.6 or Source… or Q3/Quake Live.

And that’s it for my rant of the day.

Won’t lie; when I first heard of MMA, I was thinking something along the lines of a fighting game, to a lesser extent. A few punch-kick combos, some defensive blocks, critical blows and a couple of restricted moves.

Turns out regardless of whatever fighting style they have, their main maneuver is grappling, mounting and submission.

Of course this is not always the case. They are matches that are won without either fighter going to the mat.

People that use top tier characters and when you win against them, they still whine and complain that you suck

Nevermind, thought this would be in the GD forum :wasted:

Same Move Proration. Just spits in the face of everything I hold dear in a combo, which is trying to make the longest combo possible comprised principally of the same move over and over. Then again my favorite combo ever is the old GGXX Sol Dust Loop, so I’m probably not coming at this from an unbiased perspective.

Ironically, my quick reply box appears to have glitched out and all the buttons appear to me as “B”.
I should bold everything.

Dreaming that someone gave me DOA5 Ultimate as a gift then waking up excited only to be disappointed when I realize it was just a dream.

Not gonna lie, the SF4 input leniency gets me every time. God damn, I want a koryuken, not your level 1 super. (mainly a training mode issue for me)

people who only play shotos

Sooo many matches I find myself asking “HOW THE FUCK DID THAT MISS?!?!”

When ppl bitch about my low tier Trish keepaway teams.
