What FPS game would you prefer in competing on a PC?

Having played a good bit of competitive TF2 … I don’t know if you can even draw a realistic comparison between it and CS. CS is more about strategy and timing, TF2 is more about deathmatch and on-the-fly adaptation. Both are valid approaches, though I suppose you could say CS is more “hardcore” just by its nature.

That said, for competition I still <3 Quake 3/Live da best.

TFC is good times, too, though I never played it competitively.

To me right now, CSGO is a bit stiff, the SMG guns are less damaging and less controllable, feels like those guns are like CoD, the snipers are no longer one hit kills. Wonder if there was a point of adding molotov.

You only get one invite, already went to a friend. Sorry bro.

Seems like molotovs are just used to block off certain areas for a few seconds, as opposed to smokes which just cut off a particular sight line. I dunno enough about the CS meta to know for sure, seems like most of the maps are largely intact since the last time I played. So maybe molotovs aren’t doing the job properly, I couldn’t say. Certainly a steep price compared to smokes though.

All I know for sure is that I am HOT booty at this game. I wound up going back to the casual server the other night, was getting too frustrated.

quake1, so fast several of my friends would get motion sickness playing it.

Tribes: Ascend, Q3/Live, TFC.

I really enjoy TF2. But even though my competitive experience is mostly Highlander, the amount of item restrictions and other rules take some of the competitive viability out of it in my opinion. It’s great fun to play, though, and I can’t discount some of the skill required to play the 6man classes (I play Medic).

Spongebob

I only do a man’s game: Chex Quest

Fight me.

Pretty funny to challenge to compete on a single player only game that doesn’t even have a scoring system anyway

In that case, time trials, maybe.

I find it funny how a Chex game has you picking up bowls of fruit for armor.

I wonder how TF2 got into the competitive scene. Isn’t CS more known worldwide?

We don’t play ChexQuest for scores and points, we play for SOULS.

Fight me.

Competitive babies gave up their ‘no grenade spamming tf2 sucks forever’ and started to accept change.

Hopefully Hawken will satisfy some competitive urges.

Also Shootmania. Maybe later Nadeo can integrate firefights during a Trackmania race

This. Shoutouts to Unreal Tournament(Gold and 2k4. UT3 is pretty decent, too.) Medal of Honor Allied Assault(I played this in clans, 16VS16 and 8VS8) Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix.

Shoutouts to Serious Sam games, Section 8: Prejudice and Quake 3 engine-based FPS games. JEDI KNIGHT GAMES OHH YEAH(FPS and TPS hybrid.)

What about Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six?

I play Team Fortress 2 a lot. I used to play it competitively but then I realised “wow this is gay” and now I just fuck around on random servers and piss people off. I am pretty boss at it and people often say I should join a team again, but I don’t find being forced to play the same class all the time in a small team with fixed classes to be very fun at all.

I have almost 5000 hours in the fucking thing. Goddamnit.

2gd

that is all

The best five people in that game are probably the only five people playing it.

Enemy territory a.k.a Aimbot the game.

How popular is Daikatana now a days?
