Agreed. I’d be all over the Budokai series, but the stuff popping up onscreen, taking up 30% of the screen just to telling you to mash, and all the capsule nonsense makes me stay the hell away. Psp did that shit right: a fighter instead of a fighter full of mid-fight minigames. Shin Budokai 2 is the shit in arcade mode.
if you like the mortal kombat series you can pick up midways arcade treasures it has MK1, MK2, and MK3

my psp fat d-pad is completely broken in and works great for fighting games, it’s rough on the thumbs, but I calloused pretty quickly, and it’s now one of my favorite d-pads for fighting games
well, I did enjoy B3…but yes, the PSP budokais did it right.
I’m sorry, I said pretty fun when really it is really fucking fun.
i never tried Shin Budokai 2. I didn’t think it would be as good or much different from the first.
