It’s a very unorthodox fighting game. Think of it as a mix between Virtual On, Smash Bros., and Final Fantasy RPGs.
Yes, it sounds very fucked up. But it’s also very fun. =) Gameplay looks like stuff out of Advent Children - you fly all over the place, bounce off the walls, and basically look badass.
get Darkstalkers, SFA3 Max, Powerstone. I cant wait for US Dissidia looks so fun
I love Alpha 3 MAX, and Dissida will be purchased by me seven times…
But I can’t TAKE the d-pad on the PSP for FGs! Don’t get me wrong, I love the hell out of my PSP… but I can’t take the controls. Dissidia might work better because it doesn’t take QCF motions and the like.
The Slim has a much better D-pad than the original one, and it doesn’t give me problems. ^^
Only reason why i say Tekken DR is awesome, is because naturally anyone with a psp usually has tekken, so its easier to find someone to play against in a lecture hall/office. If it wasnt for Tekken DR, I would have lost my mind during college lectures. But any game is fun as long as u know u have someone to fight against.

I’m sorry, what? Are you saying a compilation came out for the psp as well, instead of just the jp ps2?
Actually that D-pad mod works really well if you do it right. I have a Phat and I modded the d-pad, and while it’s not perfect, it works pretty well for what it is.
I concur though with the SFA3 and Tekken DR answers, though the CPS & Neo Geo emus are really awesome too! If you’ve got the capability, you should definitely check these out.

lack of online was the reason I couldn’t stay with powerstone collection very long, i wish it had it.
Darkstalkers: Chaos Tower for the PSP is kind of the definitive Darkstalkers release - it includes every version of every character in the series, and a slew of single player features. It’s definitely my top choice for best fighter on PSP. The only problem with it is, of course, having to use the horrible PSP d-pad. I have a PSP slim, and even that pad is deeply uncomfortable to use.
Pfft,man fuck that. I like Nightwarriors more than the final game with it’s smaller characters, and there are some fucked-up things in this game, like the Dark Force Moment Slice (it goes from being a single slice to being a combo) not launching before the last hit. Instead, the enemy stands there looking stupid before Gallon slices them. Fuck that.
Just do what I did and get them all lol…

Darkstalkers - Bought when it first came out and its still the best I think…
Guilty Gear AC - I got the japanese import and its sweet.
Tekken DR - Gotta have staple
Powerstone - When you are in the mood for something fun and different.
KOF Orichi- Again kinda a staple
And i guess there is like Budokai/Naruto/MK i think , but those dont count nor would I actually buy them…
its a toss up between tekken 5dr, darkstalkers, guilty gear!

DBZ Shin Budokai is pretty fun and is more natural to play on the PSP than ports.
Tekken DR, by far, IMO.
