Asked by my Asst Gen Manager to get a list together for our Regional General Manager on all the fighting games that would do well at our venue. The RGM will then pass this list on as a priority to the the guy who decides what games get bought for the location.
The RGM was really impressed with the turnout you guys created during the Thursday night promos.
Feel free to add below…I should prolly get feedback within the next week so I can turn in the list ASAP. No guarantees, now. I’m not saying that we are 100% getting the games we request in. But I’m all about raising the possibilities of getting more quality fighters at Seattle GW.
-Street Fighter 2 Turbo (is this the correct version?)
-CvS2
-Guilty Gear XX (again, version?)
-latest DOA (for watching bouncy milkbags when I walk by the cab)
Nice, it’s great to hear the higher ups care about fighters.
Right now ST (the right version is Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo) is hot again and I think the Thursday rotation would benefit from a 2nd 3S or Marvel cab but I don’t know since I haven’t gone in a while. Personally I would love to see CvS2 there. I really can’t speak for the KOF or GG crowd since I’m not familiar with that scene up here.
The King Of Fighters 98, The King Of Fighters XI, Neo Geo Battle Coliseumreplaces SNK VS CAPCOM, Samurai Shodown 5 Specialreplaces Samurai Shodown 5, The King Of Fighters: Maximum Impact 2: Regulation A, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo US board, Capcom VS SNK 2 for those who would like that board, Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection, Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core, more to come when i think of some more quality fighters…
good shit Matt, its encouraging to hear that they’re still interested in feedin the fighter scene.
whats needed has been said (CvS2, ST). Would be nice if GW got sumthin exotic also e.g. KOF XI, GG Accent Core. Better yet howz about The Rumble Fish 2 ?! or Hokuto No Ken ?!
I recall Nate sayin that GW already has a Street Fighter Alpha 3 board, how about puttin that back into a cab??
Honorable mention TekkenDR.
p.s. whens the next get together at your place???
p.p.s. this is dave, used to work there dave btw
I definitely hope you guys get Virtua Fighter 5. Gameworks is Sega after all, right?
But on top of that, one of the best players in the country (pretty much is the best player in the country) is in the Seattle area and he likes playing with people.
The game is also absolutely gorgeous and I think it would do well, even with the casuals.
I think Super Turbo would do very well at Gameworks too. There are a lot of people who might not be the typical fighting game player, but have a nostalgia for traditional SF2. SF2 even does well at Retro Arcades and the game is very easy to understand. On top of that, if you got Grandmaster Edition, that would be a bonus to the hardcore.
Mark of the Wolves.
XCOTA
KOFX11
Killer Instinct (shits and grins)
MSH
Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure
Soul Calibur 2

Vampire Savior (anyone really.)
Street Fighter Alpha (2 or 3)
