Weaponlord would be a game that would be improved by modern graphics and capabilities.
Too bad the designers don’t have the rights to it- remember reading about that in the Shred Nebula thread a few months back. I kinda wish they’d do what Stardock did when Microprose cockblocked them on the IP and just make what they wanted under a new IP.

Marvel at high level is so fun to watch. Super Turbo is too. Third Strike is very hit or miss, FFA commentary used to be legendary.

Surprised no one has mentioned Alpha 2. That matches for that game are really exciting. It has everything, pressure, footsies, zoning, and sexy CC.
In my opinion it just a slower ST at high levels, without the crazy damage of course.
Alpha 3 is definitely more fun to play than watch. I know before i started playing alpha 3, the matches were pretty boring to watch. Now that I understand the mindset of the game, then I can understand it's a big game of anticipation. Still Alpha 3 does tend not to have the offense of Alpha 2.
I still love Alpha 2, even though Dhalsim isn't top in that game.
3s is quite boring to watch unless you actually play the game.
The same can be said for CVS2.
SF4 look like it could only become more exciting. The first batch of high level matches made the game an instant crowd favorite. i don't really think you need to know what's going on to enjoy the matches. I have never played the game, but the game looks like an odd mixup of A3, A2, 3s, and ST at high levels.
It has the CVS2/A3 links, the A2 offense, the 3s pace, and the ST strategy. SFIV will become a huge crowd favorite.
KOF is a fun game to watch at high levels, sorta. KOF2002 would be fun, but Billy Kane and Choi whoring gets old.
KOF XI is more fun to watch than play. KOFXII is looking boring so far, but to be fair it’s still in developement. I know SFIV loketest matches were crazy boring to watch.
Games not fun to watch are MB and AH. The boring 50 hit combos, and poke and dash all match stuff is just boring as fuck to watch. Even more boriing to play as well.
Marvel is fun to watch as long as Sentinel is somewhere in the match,Then you ain’t watching the right vids…I normally skip past the Ioris, Athenas, Chois, Billy’s in 2002 for the Angels and May Lees.
That’s where it gets exciting…even some Whips are exciting to watch… Try watching some higher level Mexico vids from players like Kula, Hugo, Esteban, Skato,Khannibal, etc. And even then, as I can attest to, seeing them in person (I’ve seen all but Kula and Hugo in person) is wayyyy more exciting than watching them on a youtube vid lol.
