What do you truly hate about ssf4ae2012?

I pretty much dislike the game overall. I don’t even know why i still play haha, guess i’m so used to it. Things i hate are:
FADC on invincible moves: a reversal should be a gamble
Divekicks: i loathe divekick characters. They’re just no fun to play against.
Vortexes/vortex characters, excessive 50/50s. Exception is grapplers since they actually work to get in, not herpderp Seth/Viper etc.
The pisseasy autocorrects: as if dps weren’t strong already.
Lenient reversal window.
Design choices that doesn’t make sense (why can’t Gen, Vega fadc their shitty antiairs, while ryu, cammy, seth etc that already got tools up their ass can do it?)
Option selects: you shouldn’t be able to cover all bases with option selects, if you think i will do something to get out go ahead and guess.
Characters that don’t care about footsies: footsies is what makes the game fun according to me. Now we have characters that pretty much shits on the entire concept of footsies in favor of vortexes and 50/50s. Why capcom! why!

I fucking hate Ibuki. Outplay that bitch for about 90 percent of a round then I get knocked down once and here comes dem guessing games.

…FADC on block is the real problem (I think you agree). FADC on hit is fine even if it is a move with i-frames.

FADC on reversals is the real problem. I don’t have an issue with Seths using SRK FADC as a pressure tool.
But the hyperlenient reversal window paired with the option to make reversals safe on block / combo into 500 dmg on hit is just too mashfriendly.

Yeah thats pretty much what i meant, i just failed at explaining it in a good way. Using FADC to prolong combos and stuff like that is fine.

well, FADC means wasting 2 meters, which is pretty much. It’s not like everytime when you’re KD you have 2 bars to waste. And do you really want to waste your meter, when you could just block ?

btw, why is everybody complaining about the lenient reversal window ?

After playing Marvel, MK9 and SfxTekken for a while, i have to say that i don’t have problems with this game.

I have one problem, though I don’t know if it’s the game, the 360, or the internet’s fault. Had some matches in the evening, and even at 3 bars, it felt like I was playing underwater.

lol @ people who hate option selects. sounds like a bunch of chun, rose players who are mad because they can’t backdash their way out pressure. i feel if i knock you down, then i deserve to get this well deserved free pressure. option selects just make sure i got insurance on that.

Wake-up ultra’s, when they didn’t read shit.

shortcuts and shotos. Because I don’t know how to play against them. =[. This game I swear it’s like having an abusive ex gf that had the finest body ever. You just keep getting your ass kicked for some pie.

The speed of it all is just horrible. Every other fighter I play, be it a 90s Cap 2d game, or a more modern Sega 3d one, is like at least twice as fast as SFIV series. Making Seth really dangerous and powerful now seems like a major error on the developers part as well. You can ban Gill in 3s player matches for good reason.

Seth

The Ultras are aesthetically pleasing, but obtainable in far too brief a period of time, yet the Super combos deal “less” damage(most of the time) and are much harder to acquire. Contradiction.
Definitely agree with Melubas above on most points. OS were not what made the original SF2 good. OS aren’t completely negative, there are just an overabundance of them & situations leading to their abuse.
There is an excessive amount of “hand-holding” in this game(though vastly inferior to SFxT’s hand holding), instead of making people earn things, learn things and be consistent without relying on the computer.
I’m with PointBreak91 on the Seth issue and agree that increased speed of the game would benefit everyone, as this slow speed is not likely to remain a constant in future iterations of the series.
FADC on block is bologna. Losing a gamble shouldn’t be rewarded. You don’t get money for going bust in BlackJack, nor get to re-shoot the ball if you miss, or get your down back when you throw an incomplete pass (outside of infraction situations), or get another life if you run a red light and end up getting t-boned.

The above said, the game does have its positive aspects. Overall, CAPCOM needs to step its game(s) up (pun intended) & return to the form that made past iterations enthralling, and/or utilize the massive fan base (which pays its salary) to improve games before final pressing.

Clearly, as a Ken player, you don’t deserve such a thing. You already are playing the most easy character to play with in the whole game, you don’t have any right to any insurence.

What I hate about this game is generally the imbalance of it. It is one of the most imbalanced game out there. And no patch and nothing got that fixed. The patches were just to ruin the overpowered chars (Super Cammy, AE twins) but they did nothing to strengthen the underpowered ones other than stupid “one more frame of blockstun on block” things. Vega, Rose, Gen are some of those they just didn’t care to fix. While boring-the-crap-out-of-me Ryu became top tier. Some childish Ryu player will come and say “it seems someone gets beaten by random Ryus, etc” Youtube style. And no, I pretty consistently beat Ryus. But that doesn’t mean a landing j.mp into whole ultra, super or whatever you like is not a very stupid and cheap thing.

It doesn’t make sense that Sagat, Boxer and Dictator are as powerful as they are, and not have Claw in the same vein. If Claw was a Sub-boss then why is he not as good as the other Shadowloo members? If Rose has power near equal to Dictator’s, then why isn’t this true in game? Gen is an assassin and of similar skill level to Akuma, why is he so under-balanced? You execute a Focus attack and have recoverable life because the FA is a draining move, yet characters can throw fireballs, sonic booms and other Special moves which exert greater energy but do not create recoverable life.
It’s odd that CAPCOM will create a character, flesh out their story line, but then make certain characters different in game than the canon.
Yeah, my train of thought here is far fetched… Fighting games never have good storylines (MK9 exempted).
They will always make Ryu & Ken more powerful because they are the flagship heroes of SF.

cry moar scrub.

landing a jumping attack is a cheap thing now lol

honestly if this game was any more balanced i would probably fall asleep, since balance with this game means taking some more options off the table…

Chun Li V Zangief says hi.

That shit is downright stupid.

I hate Seth because he fucking ridiculous he’s just a remix Gill should of been band from tourny’s like he was-
I hate Blanka because he’s fucking annoying, How does a beast cry for his mommy?
