so i finally finished the game and i thought it was soooo sick.
the story,
the variety and mix up of all the gameplay.
game was so brilliant.

Got the game…loving it so far.
Spent more time doing the side missions than the main story, but so far I’m at the part where…
Wei meets Broken Nose Jiang.
Took me a while to get used to the fight commands…especially during gang fights.
Counter is my best friend.
I need to get back into it, Borderlands 2 stealing all my time. Wonder if you can get another date with the Techy bitch, only saw her once to show her how to hack cameras.
Yo me to. I stopped playing it for Darksiders II meant to pick it back up but got sucked into the time vortex that is Borderlands 2.
Borderlands 2 is a fucking time vampire.
Game is awesome, I have to go back and plat it. I got it for a early bday gift in August but i knew TTT2 was around the corner so i was playing it non stop.
The story how it un folds is just crazy. I think other games like gta should take from it in terms of combat.
Once you open up most of the fighting thats when it really gets good. Get those jade statues asap. You can get like 9 of them pretty easy the last 3 you sorta have to advance story to get into the locations to get them.
Once you have all you will have no problem, and its so organic IMHO. I throw some punches grab em break a arm or leg, then when the face meter is full take down into ground and pound lol.
And dont get me started with the way you can fight with the enviroment>>>>>>>
There was suppose to be a ton of dlc but i havent seen any yet its like cmon devs its been 2 months lets roll that shit out lol.

I really hope it gets at least one GOTY award. I know sales have been good, but I feel people and press slept on it because it was “only” a solid B. Pretty ridiculous given how Rockstar / Take 2 games get rated.

Only DLC I’d get is if they could patch a way to have all the guns spawn at your home and redo the Face missions. Or a new game+ dlc /pipedream. Man I would love this game to have GTA San Andreas cheats like riot mode.
Oh, did anyone else have trouble maxing out their Triad level before the end of the game? I felt the point system could have used some more time in the oven. I was maxed level as a Cop a third into the game, but was just shy of max Triad at the end of the game.

I had the swat pre-order and was hella pissed that I couldnt just go to war with the cops with my swat stuff. At least now I can. Yea same here I had the cop stuff maxed early then i had to double time to get my triad stuff popping.
Im gonna get that plat trophy this weekend, take a lil break from tag 2 and res evil 6. I cant think of a better break than some good ol ground and pound.

I got the same problem as well…but I think it was because I was doing a lot of the surveillance missions.
Jackie Ma is annoying as hell overall.

Not sure if it’s possible to max out triad level before you finish the main story, but replaying missions that have triad points will work towards maxing it out.
The new patch fixes this.

As noted above, this also paves the way for the P.P.P. fix, allowing that add-on pack’s car and outfit to be available in free roam. That fix will be available from Tuesday/Wednesday next week as part of the 100% free Ghost Pig add-on pack.
I loaned the game to a friend, so I don’t know what the patch is like. Apparently the driving is closer to GTA, which I find disconcerting. I may not mess with future DLC if that’s the case. I did read Nightmare DLC is short, but amusing. Anyone get it?
Oh and apparently there is a NG+ glitch. You replay the 2nd mission from the social hub and fail it causing the ps3 to freeze. When you reload the autosave, all story and side missions will have reappeared. Cool find, but I’m not a fan of crashing my ps3.
Only thing i pick up was the swat outfit so I could finally bang with the swat. The gun w/grenade laucher is hella cool. Gonna get more prolly next friday when i get paid. My psn wallet a lil light lol.

Just bought Squenix pack and it’s not showing up in-game for some reason, also tried verifying integrity. Anyone have the same problem? I have Steam version btw.
I loved the game. The story made it so easy for me to play hours non-stop. It was a little rough around the edges (partially my fault and partially a lack of polish) but holy shit I think it’s worth playing through. The melee combat was fluid, they actually made driving enjoyable, and there was just the right amount of side quests. The only problems I had were the shooting controls, a lack of variety for drug busts (the game tells you who you want), and that it had to end
I liked the story better when it was about a gangster who wanted out of a life of crime, no matter the cost…you know, like in the live-action trailer.
