Actually, LP+LK launch in MvC period. Easy Mode or not.
Which is great because if the button your favorite character uses to launch is broken (which it usually is in a lot of arcades), then you can still do air combos.
As for Easy Mode, that shit is weak sauce, but I guess it’s okay if you’re just learning. Face it people, not only is “Deep, technical gameplay” going away, 99.5% of the world’s population don’t care.
Most people have better things to get good at than a fighting game or video games in general. They just turn on the game to play for a while then go do other stuff. If a game is too hard, most people will go “Fuck this shit.” and turn it off, never to play again. Why do you think Virtua Fighter 4 sells for $10?
Plus, most of us here have been playing since 1992. A new player won’t even know the basics that we take for granted. And if they go online for help they either get:
a) GameFAQs - no help. Most there don’t know what they’re doing.
b) if they happen to show up here, then they get… “OH NOES!!! J000r skillz in teh F1T3ing are NoT 1337! Go Away N00b! OMGLOLLZORS!!!111!!!I1!!!”
Long story short: what the hell are any of us doing here anyway? We’re wasting our lives with this shit… We’re winning at fighting games, but losing at life…
I think gaming is life for a lot of people here anyway. I mean, when you do something that often, and with that much passion, it’s gotta be a driving force that motivates you to keep living. I don’t see anything wrong with it really, as long as you truly do enjoy it. If you find yourself silently yearning for something more, then maybe you should put down the stick and try something else for a while.
i don’t know what effect easy mode has but what do you care? your handicapped because it takes longer to execute a move , even though it does come out eventually it’s additional lag and all the other disadvantages that were mentioned.
I’d like to use it just to see some new comboes, since i think you can probably cancel out of normals you couldn’t before in easy mode.
