OK, so I’m no scrub, but I was jus curious… When someone gets you in the Magneto infinite, rom infinite, what do you do? Like, do you hold back, do you hold up back, down back, forward???
-Does it depend on the player you play? i.e. if it’s one with a reputation to crossup, you actually hold forward when in the inf?
-Does it matter which part of the game it is… like if it’s your last character or it’s the beginning of the game and your character has full health?
I ask this because like, I’ve always tried to be able to see a crossup and block on reaction… which I still can’t do, haha. But recently, especially last Break tourney, I looked at top players hands when they were in inf. No consensus, a whole mix of stuff from back, up back, down back, and yes, even sometimes forward.
*On a side note, when a mags gets you with launch, fierce, fierce, and they’re waiting for you to get up… what do you do then? Do you try to see that one too… start holding back, and look if he goes low, etc…
I cry, and then I try to guess which reset will be done to me. I don’t know about top players, but I definitely can not see resets and then block accordingly.
If it is someone who I think will be a little bit sloppy with a reset, I will mash on Short for the “combo breaker.” Against good resets though, I think it’s useless and you’re better off trying to block.
Look at me talking like I know how to play Marvel. Hahaha…
I cry, but I hold forward if I know the guy is know how to crossover and will do it. I also hit bunch of buttons to make him lose his concentration. But seriously, I also think about the next games… probably SF3 or GGXX when this kind of MvC2 player just kicks my ass. It is just hopeless fun for him and boring to death for me. Spending 25 cents to learn how to block an infinite is not exactly what I consider entertaining.
For example, one day, Ricky Ortiz came over and play ironman/storm/psyclocke. Do I need to draw you a picture? It was over before it started… all the way. Nobody but me try to play him, but I am a scrub. No way I can beat this guy. I play him twice and… if acho were putting the vid on their website, it would be the shortest vid ever
