Most Yuns I fight (admittedly bad Yuns) just do shit. Regardless if I’m doing something or not. They play him like online Akuma or JROD.
I grind. It’s really the only option I have besides rigorous training, seeing as how the only local scene I have here is Tekken.
I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL! :amazed: All people I talk to about fighting games are always “2D fighting games suck. I only play Tekken and Soul Calibur”. All I can do is smh
You can play and learn online although you will pickup some horrible habits
Those being;
[]A skewed view of what can and cannot be legitimately re-acted to and or confirmed. Frame tight reversal supers against pokes/specials, hit confirming off single pokes, red parrying of multi-hit specials/chains and re-action parry/red parry just does not really exist. This is a huge problem which causes people to make really stupid decisions.

[]People playing 3s too much like it is a high low game (only a handful of characters have legit high low game).

[]People not knowing how to safely approach someone and instead relying on “random” to get in (full screen specials, poorly spaced jump-ins and obvious/telegraphed dashes)

[]People constantly blindly guessing on wake-up and other situations were they should generally be trying to react.

Training mode is great and should be used to practice hit confirms, combo’s and to learn your options in a given situation/mixup.
Do not fear anything although you should learn what to respect.
Its in the game.
/ make the right pick that represents your life
/ we stomping anybody so make your choice right
/ lets get it on now–

Spam Renic with Alex vs Chun tips requests?
from what I can tell thats not working out too well so far lol
standing fierce her in the face
if that doesn’t work, power bomb her
it really is not that tough
full screen lunge punch ftw
So the good thing about anything competitive or lots of things in life is, there’s always someone better than you out there. Always.
So what are you going to do about it.
And if you ever reach the top you will still have to keep training to stay on top.
what i like to do is find someone better than me, fight them (this usually results in me losing), and watch the replay. makes me realize how little i think during matches.
and reading this has made me realize how much i have neglected training mode.
What if you’re Kuroda?
Someone convinces you to try SF4, you get with the liquor, women, & pizza @ ScottPopular’s place.
You can sit next to and scare the shit out of someone, when they’re just trying to play over here. (Did it to poe)
You use less electricity to help websites run… where we can talk about the new stuff you seem to always come up with
Be afraid of Nuki.
Every time I play 3SOE, all I end up doing is trying to beat people in ranked matches with Q by using nothing but his jab. I rarely actually win but it works better than you might expect.
I used to get pretty frustrated at losing to people who weren’t distinctively better than I was even though I’ve only been playing for two years. Eventually I just told myself the reason why I lose is because I’m just really ass. Ever since then I’ve been leveling up pretty consistently, since I can analyze matches I should have won instead of being upset about it and moving on.
Also, I find grinding can be extremely unproductive if you start to get into a mindless flow. I remember I spent about an hour one day seeing how many hard tatsus I could do in a row before someone punished properly. I got five once but I realized I just wasted an hour and probably developed a bad habit in the process.
Build a macro of characters doing standard pokes, BnB, hit confirm supers, jump ins, and kara throws. Put them on a random switch, try and parry/punish.
oh yeah I like this a lot. counterpoke practice mostly here, though I really should start working on red parrying the usual suspect combos too. Yun shoulder, for example. or Akuma’s flurry of roundhouse tatsu. those would be good things to have a response to.
Zerg!
Play people better than you.
Learn and practice setups
and definitely practice parry timing on moves you see often like tatsus, low forwards, dejin setups
