Well as I said, I could be wrong. I play with a controller so i’m pretty limited. I had to turn off the light attacks in order to make room for FA and kara throw. I just can’t find the right format to make room for them.
What made you come to that assumption? If you use Vega and play the “down back” tactic, you’re totally making things even more difficult for yourself when you can easily play an aggressive tactic with him (even though he is meant to be a long distant character). Plus, some of the specials are pretty difficult to pull off without setups or combinations (Example: Rolling crystal flash). But hey, don’t take my word for it. I’d be more than happy to accept any open challenge to prove you wrong. I’d be glad to play with fellow forum members here. You all seem pretty skilled.
I check here everyday because I find some of the stuff here pretty helpful. No need to put me down already in my first few posts here. =)
There are people here who play on controller/have played on xbox controller in the past with no problem.
Pity Sasaki doesn’t post here anymore since he was one of those people.
Controller type doesn’t limit you at all IMO, otherwise we wouldn’t have pad warriors placing high at Evo.
Y: HP
B: HK
A: MK
X: MP
LT: FA
RT: 3xK
LB: Kara throw
RB: 3xP
May take some getting used to pressing two different buttons for multiple commands. Then again, I spent days trying to find the right configuration when I first got the game, knowing I would main Vega.
I found Vega easy on pad when I used to with PS3 =/ Though on a controller standpoint I do feel I could get better used to 360 from when I play on it.
PS3 pad is a lot more ergonomic, you find a way of controlling it a lot easier when you actually dedicate yourself to it.
I only switched to stick because I don’t play in 360 regulary but the tourneys here are 360, so using a PS3 pad was a no no.
Sure keep the 3x buttons but you don’t need FA and Throw hotlinked.
Afaik, you should be using Controller Type A so then you hit two buttons for FA and two for Throw. The correct way with it.
You’re severely limiting yourself by taking off your lights.
Exciting stuff man! My fighting days were limited to pre-Jesus street altercations, hateful soul I was :’(
And even after the Lord gave Himself to me still liked to fight, difference this time tho was w/o the hatred… went to Wild Card years later to check out the scenery got to meet Freddy but as demanding as boxing is just knew I couldn’t do it, which if fine knowing God had a different call on my life! Plus I get to beat up people on sf! ^^ (joking) A friend and I awhile ago thought we gear up and go at… dude, we suck…
Who might you have sparred with if I can ask?? Lol! n I forgot about Judah having “Super” in his name, Big big fan was referring to Roy Jones, still enjoy watching Zab tho!
@christlike, i trained at legacy fitness in winter park FL. Francisco “da wizard” Palacios (undefeated cruiserwieght) and his cousin alfredo are there everydAy, along with thier trainer. They are all real nice guys. I trained with them and sparred a few times with Paul Marfort alot who as far as i know is also undefeated, (he used to be a pro kickboxer and now hes a pro boxer also a very good guy. And some of the dudes i sparred with i didnt even learn their names, random up and comers, it was just like their trainer let me jump in there and go rounds with them. Pinklon thomas trains guys around orlando here too. Hes a former heavyweight champion of the world (older now) who went like eight rounds or something with tyson (its on youtube, so are some good palacios fights) I loaned him my kidney guard one day because his fighter forgot his… Talkin about all this makes me really miss it! Ah well, like i said, ill get back there soon. But yeah, jones is great, hes another florida boy ( lotta good boxers from my home state…look out for Andre Berto in 2011). Dude…tell me about meetind freddy roach!!!
Thanks, I’ll definitely be watching out for these guys! Only other kickboxer turned pro boxer that I can recall is 1 of the 2 deadliest men alive in Vitali (the other being Wladimir) lol. Bros really can’t fight but who’s going to tell 'em that huh?! Speaking of… if that fight against Haye doesn’t end up happening ima be so pissed… been waiting now like 4 years for it >_>
But what a real treat for you man! …and never having tasted the canvas is all the proof you need showing you deserve to be in there with the rest of them. Lol Freddy Roach offers MONEY to anyone who can knock down his boy! When I got there his “doorman” lol met me at the top of the steps but Freddy told him to let me in. Upon entering without any hesitation he sized me up lol but was kewl as can be, greeted me with a smile and a hand shake. Told me to make myself at home and called his guy over an ex amateur, young little guy who has lost sight in ones of his eyes during a fight showed me around the place and introduced me to some of the other trainers, got to watch Kingsley Ikeke at the double end bag for awhile. Haha Berto needs to fight MORE!
Yeah ive got nothin but respect for the klitschkos. I wish hbo would pick up all of their fights! They have so many knockouts and are such good boxers! I agree that Berto should fight more, but 2010 he did alot of volunteer work in Haiti after the earthquake so you have to give him that, and the Haye fight needs to happen, (along with the holy grail of boxing matches, pacquiao/mayweather)…Basically i just pray that Boxing gets a governing body someday to unify the sport and make each weight class have mandentory bouts for a unified champ in each. This would clean up and popularize the total mess that professional boxing (business side of it) is. Too many devisions, too many different promoting companies that control the sport… that’s why most people don’t follow it and people like me who love the sport even have a difficult time following it. It’s like if every NFL team was completely independant of any league and could just choose weather they wanted to play certain apponents, or when they wanted to play them…AHHHGG why can’t boxing get organized???
To all you beautiful inquiring souls =) who sent me PMs (and there were many of you) who had questions about the Lord Jesus, there is a video that’s been out for a while called, “The Case for Christ”
Storyline: (lol)
Based upon the Gold-Medallion award-winning best-seller, The Case for Christ documents Lee Strobel’s journey from atheism to faith through his two-year investigation of the Bible and the life of Jesus Christ. Strobel, the former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, draws upon his investigative skills to examine the historical accuracy of the Gospels, the personal claims of Jesus and His resurrection from the dead. Is there evidence to confirm that Jesus of Nazareth was, indeed, the son of God and the savior of the world? This remarkable film features interviews with 10 leading Biblical scholars from North American and England, cutting-edge apologetics…
Never had the need to see it myself given what has happened and does happen to me, but saw that it was on netflix (last day of having that free streaming trial, which is IMO boring… I mean absolutely NO good movies >_>)so just decided to watch it, this taken together with hopefully the good picture of LOVE and grace I was able to paint I know will do wonders for your faith. As God is infinite and am ever still learning of Him myself as usual if there are anymore questions hopefully I can answer just let me know!
