i wouldnt compete in EVO those kids are basically polished turds what i mean is they are kids that play like poons but get called good for it and have the no life community follow everything they do… i said what i can do just to reference the difference ive made from the original vid im not bragging because im still learning what i can chain with what ive learned
well when i first got the game we werent expecting to see the levels we saw because the game didnt even come out besides the fact that we put fucking “same rank” -_- and yes most of those kids were practically no lives for them to reach C wah before the game came out soo i trained the saturday sunday and monday until finally the day the game came out i played ranked for a few hours until i got to C myself…wasnt as hard as i thaught

There is more to being good at combos to being a good player. And I’m not just talking about fighting games, I’m talking about any type of competitions. Skill alone isn’t enough to win. Hard-work, determination, will to win, dealing with pressure, etc. It’s a reason why there are so many great stories in sports about the underdogs coming out on top (ie. USA’s 1980 “Miracle on Ice”).
Tournaments like EVO are in place to see who has what it takes to win it all and an idea to see who the best players are. Now your opinions about the top players in the FGC are your own and sure, maybe you or desk or anyone else may be better than them. But you choose not to participate in such events so it doesn’t amount for much.
If tournaments didn’t exist, no one would know who the top players are and it’s all speculation. If someone is indeed better than them all then they should go prove it. If they don’t want to then that’s fine and their agenda but insulting the top players just because no one else wants to show them up is ridiculous.
You the best? Prove it. Don’t want to? Keep complaining and talking shit in your room. It’s as simple as that in any competition.
nice novela man but i dont compete because i know im not good enough but i do have everything it takes to succede i train i have the will power the determination etc. i just have a serious pride problem when it comes to shit like spamming projectiles which these evo people and other no life fighters call “zoneing” nooo buddy its called spamming yes youre using distance but when you do it 6,7,8 times than its called spamming also these “crossups” i hate that term with a passion in MvC i call it cross ups cause realisticly you have 2 characters attacking from a different side =crossup… but in SF and this game you have 1 character unrealisticly jumping over your head and magically the front of their foot can damage the back of youre head hmmm cant picture that i wanna see a real life fighter try that but whats sad is that these people live by that like how pathetic a true fighter picks his shots waits for his openings and knocks him down but this jumping like a panzee shit is wrong i get its a fake game but comeon… thats where my pride overrules cause noone will ever catch me doin that shit but also doesnt help me as a fighter just my opinion on polishing turds (making different more appealing terminology for a word that would make them look like bitches i.e. spam=zoneing)
Not sure what a novela is but these mechanics were put in the game on purpose by the developers.
You draw the line at fireballs and crossups yet there are other players online that think you not letting them tag in their 2nd player is considered a cheap tactic. When will it end??
IIRC, on one of the Marvelous Adventures of Gootecks & Mike Ross, Mike Ross got a hate message from some guy calling him a cheapass for doing a combo into a super into tagged-in super to finish him off and win the game.
There is no end to to the complaining about what is cheap and what isn’t. It’ll basically keep going until the only way to stop any type of complaint is to put the stick down and let the other player win.
Now I admit that I also get frustrated with certain characters and tactics in the game (ie. Ibuki, Rufus). But I know it’s not a guaranteed win and there are ways around it.What I would like to see is more balance to the game. I don’t like character tiers. I wish advantages and disadvantages to characters is only slight.
Don’t hate the player, hate the game. If it’s allowed in the game then it’s all fair-game.

the very definition of a scrub. if you can’t deal with fireball zoning(yes it is ZONING) and basic crossups, then quit playing fighting games. it gets much harder than that.
