You think you have it bad? Like 80% of the A rank and above players I run into, will NOT fight me. I’ll beat them a good 2-3 times and they will never play me again. I can’t remember the guys name, but he’s a Ryu/Sagat player. I’ve beaten him like 4 times and now if I run into him, he just backs out. So I can barely play rank matches because I keep it set to more skilled than and everyone just leaves when they see my name. HOW AM I GOING TO GET MY CROWN IF NO ONE WILL PLAY ME!!!

I’ve been thinking not to reply here as doing so will just give these fools credence in Salt production (aka We lose because they affected us enough to post here), but this one is really ridiculous, and embarrassing.
I’m playing Ranked, losing a bit more than winning, though I managed a 4 win streak (woo hoo :rollseyes:). I play this uber-scrub from Great Britain who is using Auto Block (surprise :rollseyes:) He’s using a nicely designed team of Lili and Poison and Lili looks like Poison. I’m using Hwo & Nina. He wins obviously, as I have no stay away tools with those two.
I challenge him to an Endless match, no Assist gems. He accepts and we fight a 3 out of 5 round match. This time he is Poison and Sagat. I’m using Akuma & I think Hwo. I’m abusing him with a simple high low mix up with Akuma and he is failing to block it. He does block some other simple stuff and it’s obvious he doesn’t need the assist gems.
Sadly, I lost focus, it being 5AM and I’ve been playing since 12AM. He laughs and thinks he’s accomplished some great feat. I ask him for a 3 out of 5 MATCHES competition, and he says we’ve already played 3 out of 5 matches. He knows nothing about rounds and matches.
I returned to ranked and there he is again. I tell him, no assist gems and he uses them. Then he wins obviously and when I message him about him being a b*** for using assist gems in ranked when he doesn’t need them, he says that I was using gems as well. I was, but NOT assist gems.
This fool doesn’t know what assist gems are, or at least he is playing stupid.
How are we to grow this game when these fools exist?
Another notable experience earlier this morning was when I faced a duo who each had 16,000 + BP. They body me, no surprise and I return to ranked and we meet up again, but they boot me from the lobby. I send hate mail and eventually end up in an endless awaiting my turn and they show up. They explain that beating me nets them 1 point each, but if I beat them they lose 40 BP. That’s what ranked is all about. If you have 16,000 BP and you’re scared of a mere 40 points IF I beat you, why even play ranked?
I talk to them about tournaments not using points and they respond that it’s not a tournament. They challenge me to an endless lobby and I accept. We play tournament rules and I lose, oh well. They turn out to be cool guys, yet they aren’t trying to grow the FGC, just out to prove how great they are with BP, etc. I asked if either of them went to EVO (they both had skills to get kind of far.) and they didn’t.
Just ridiculous how people care so much about BP, and not how many Tournaments they’ve won. You can’t hack a tournament, etc so it’s the ultimate measure of skill & resolve.
Perhaps I am a fool for sharing, but I don’t give a damn about my rep or online appearance. I’m not here to be a badass or have groupies, etc. Just here to Grow this “FGC” for those who are just arriving and those to come in the future; to talk strategy, spar and be an ambassador for honorable gameplay.
Having fun playing FGs is the main point (evolving and improving is as well).
I certainly don’t think your losing for posting this, I always thought the point of this thread was to make of fun of the ones posting such salt and idiocy.
I beat a guy in ranked who had the crown. His teammate was terrible though and he was obviously trying to boost him but he played no better than him. Just goes to show BP doesn’t mean much of anything. I wish I could play endless but when people see B+ they will kick me. Can’t a brotha practice wit his Asuka/Ibuki team? I suck with them anyway…
I’ve been getting kicked a lot from Endless in recent weeks, which was not the case before. I’m starting to think the people that say “it’s your connection” are being truthful to me.
Damn, sounds like it’s really bad on PSN… though it’s not that much better on XBL.
For what it’s worth, that sounds on par with my AE experience early on (minus the swearing), until I started playing against the guys that frequented SRKlive.
Seems like bad grammar and a “lol” at the end of a sentence replaced the classic, well phrased request ending with a “please”. I often get requests for achievement boosting for ultimate marvel and I love to help them if they sound nice. However, there always worse guys who DEMAND you to help them…
Man I can’t do it. Just can’t. I will never throw a game, just not in me. The best I’ll do is play a “lower” team if I’m leagues ahead of the other person and they look as though they want to improve and stick with it.
Back in my day, we didn’t earn “achievements” by asking politely dammit… we bought a bag of Better Made Chips and a Faygo, sat in that damn basement and didn’t leave until every single thing was gotten, dammit! And that was just to unlock the sound test! * angrily shakes fists while gritting teeth *
You should have thrown the fight at least once. Remember Sagat when he let Dan win? Because of that Dan remained a good guy as well as the king himself. He is probably being consumed by revenge as of this time.
Did you win and it lagged? If so, there may be some truth to it. But, more than not, people see your rank and leave/boot you, it happens to me all the time, and I’m a poor b rank!
