What College Do You Go To?

Durham is a festering shit hole. I won’t even go into that town unless absolutely necessary.

Ashford University online. Getting my teaching degree there.

Durham locals are terrible, but its not THAT bad.

To be completely honest with you…the town itself isn’t that bad (even though it is really run down in some areas). The people scare me though; I always feel like I am going to be car-jacked and then shot to death. Although, a lot of things scare me…so, that doesn’t mean much.

I’d never last one minute in a real “bad” neighborhood.

EDIT: When i am talking about Durham…I mean downtown Durham, near the courthouse.

Out of curiosity, are you a UNC student or just a Chapel Hill local?

The University of Pennsylvania.

For Computer Information Systems.

I go to Troy University in Dothan. Working on my biology degree and hope to get a masters as a Physician Assistant. I have an associates degree in applied science from the radiology program. It sucks because I think for the most part I got a better education for a cheaper price at the community college but I know grad school won’t see it that way so I have to go to Troy which is more expensive than CC and is kind of teaching me less.

san francisco state, dope school. Very diverse and laid back vibe

UNC student. But, this is currently my home as I am married and live off campus. I don’t go “home” for breaks as I have my own family.

School of hard knocks.

I’m at Duquesne in Pittsburgh. If you don’t mind muscled up douche bags and guys who know every sports statistic to man and flaunt it like it’s their penis then you’ll be alright. I came from a ghetto ass school and area to this place and got culture shocked: I never saw so many white people in one place in my life. I’m probably the only one not afraid to walk off campus and through the hill district to go to Pitt.

But yeah, it’s hard. Unless you aren’t a pharmacy, science, or music major. Then you can do whatever the hell you want. Oh and if you like white girls this is the place to be: most of them are private or catholic school girls from upper class families who look pretty good. This is a good one I always hear from people who were here a year or more before me:

 * The only real urban legend that continues to gain widespread interest refers to Duquesnes ranking of number three on Playboys list of Hottest Universities. The truth of this rumor remains up in the air. However, most students would agree the rumor seems quite believable.

In terms of our fighting game scene: It’s spread out and used to consist of maybe 5-6 of us (apparently years ago there were 100 or so people when Chacha was here a long time ago) but grew to 10-15 now and if you throw in AIP people, who are mostly Tekken I guess, then there’s maybe 20-30? Not sure. But it’s alright.

Damn good place to learn Guilty Gear and BlazBlue though

What’s so bad about KCC? :wonder:

I go to BMCC. It’s cool. Some people say its “basically hight school” , though. Besides a few ghetto staff, I have no complaints. There’s ALOT of women though! :wow:

Plan on transferring to either a senior CUNY college or NYU, FU (Fordham), SJU or Columbia U. Anybody went here? How are these Universities? Rate them!

Big ups to the peeps who go to community college and are damn proud of it! :woot: That entire “if you go to a top tier college your life is over” or the “Do you go to a community college? You’re a failure! LULZ.” is a crock of shit IMHO.

Edit: Zero, I envy you because, you’re at my dream school. University At Buffalo. How is it? Does it lives up to its hype?

Indiana University of Pennsylvania

I am looking to transfer out though to U. Delaware, Widener, Villanova, or West Chester and maybe Drexel U

Went to USC, graduated 02 and 04. It was fun, going through the Hackett years of football suckage and then living through the Age of Carroll.

graduated from cal state fullerton

hopefully cal state long beach or UCLA in the near future

I graduated from Cal State San Bernardino!

Lets see I can go back this year for my Teaching Credentials, but it feels like it might be a lost cause this year since the school teaching system gone down the crapper!

I failed out of my school freshman year and went to a branch/community college. No joke, shit was free. I tutored 4 different subjects and did house calls for hot girls for their computers cause the tech center was shit. From failing to a 3.7 then transferred back to my first school and had a 2.0 after transfers and now I have to bust my ass to a 3.0. And really bust my ass unlike at the branch.

In other words, good luck at a main/big campus. You go hard or go home there.

True story. I gave 7 students F’s last semester in my into Micro course. I don’t hold back. You know what though? I’m still below the average of professor fail rates for Into Micro where I teach. Intro Microeconomics is required to get into our undergrad business school so we use it as a weed out course. We do not hold back and we do not show mercy. I was actually told that by my department chair that he was surprised that it was only 7 out of 40 for my course. If you take a class with me, you better bring it hard because if not, I will fail you, and I won’t blink…

The professor for my Econ Statistics course showed us his percents for A, B, C, etc… He fails between 16% and 20% of his class each semester; in a 200~250 person lecture.
