I like playing with themes, I’m not the most hardcore player so I just like to have a little fun with who I’m playing with:
Week 1: Weather Lords were Storm, Ammy and Thor as anchor. I actually liked this team a lot, but Ammy was a character I could never use to her full potential so in the end I dropped them.
Transition Teams:
Hulk/Arthur/Dorm: Was a big fan of Hulk and Arthur and with Gold Armor plus Dark Hole, the chip can be pretty brutal. Hulk was the muscle and one of the characters I felt got the most out of having horizontal cover. In the end though, Arthur problems made me move on.
Captain America/ Chris / Haggar: One of my favorite teams, and I still play them casually but they just couldn’t handle the multitude of crouching A priority types that crushed them with zero effort (I’m looking at you Zero and Mags).
She-Hulk/ Hulk/ Spencer: Probably the team I sat with the longest, and would always go back too after it had been a while since I touched the game. Really loved these guys, Spencer is so fun to play and Hulk hits are always satisfying. Probably learned the most playing this team as far as assist use, spacing, and MAHVEL footsies.
Spider-Man/ Wesker/ Doom: Probably the start of a more steady team base for me, and one of the teams I kept with the longest. I love how much Spider-Man got off the Laser Assist, and obviously Wesker benefited from it just as much. Doom combos at this time weren’t exactly together but they were getting there.
Final Team:
Super Skrull/ Wesker/ Doom: The final team, although between this one and SWD I also had Dorm instead of Doom at one point and Shuma instead of Spidey… but with Nova and Rocket Racoon announced I wanted to get me some SS in there! I have to say, Skrull works well with the OTG help after mix-up and the hidden missiles are amazing for tick-grab games and just keeping pressure to get in with Skrull. Love this team and Skrull has that satisfying OOMPH with his moves.
Future Team:
Nova/ Super Skrull/ Rocket Racoon: I feel like these guys will do me well. Nova looks to be like an amazing battery for a team, and can do plenty of damage without the use of meter. Super Skrull needs meter to do some big damage, and in the end I’m sure Rocket Racoon will have some projectile assists that can provide the cover for both to get in.
