Your 95 accord wouldn’t be affected by an electronicly controlled throttle pedal. those still use that glorious cable. Which you can tighten. You tighten it so that the cable engages faster, or you tighten it to rev 100-200 rpm’s faster and making it feel faster. You’ll waste more fuel with the latter. IF your 95 is giving you this lag, it could simply be a faulty TPS sensor, which you could check with a simple multimeter. It could be a number of things, but it couldn’t. Those cars weren’t made to be sporty in the sense of acceleration. if it’s a EX Vtec model and your reving high, then it’s normal.
All you could do to mitigate the lag if your car is perfectly fine, is buy parts that increase response of the car.
High Voltage Spark Plugs
Allow for easier intake of air (air filter, intake manifold, performance TPS, exhaust)
More aggressive ECU that reduces EGR functions etc.
As your 07 Civic…That one is a bit harder, ideally you take it to a tuner shop that deals with Honda and is known/established. You’d have to have them reflash the ECU, and with that, the electronic throttle would be made responsive. That’s if the civic has an electronic throttle like the accord.
You could do it at home, but then you’d probably tune it wrong, and end up runing your transmission like my friend did on his, or something like that.
That should be a Benz B 170, right? I’m not a real fan of Mercedes, the 170 is only one of the few that i can kinda like. My main problems about them is the design.
@rcaido When you got the bmw, did you ever test drove the 7 series? Those were fucking boss mobiles, you could stretch out your legs in the back seats with out anything in the way. When I worked at a dealership, got to drive one and was more impressed with that car than some of the sportier models I’ve driven.
Also to the 26k thing and the wtf? it is over a course of 5 years different paint jobs wheels engines and right hand drive act. Other than that the only other car you can get for cash (meaning under 10k) I would even put money in is an s2000. Anything else I would drive such as an Evo X or G37 coupé requires a loan. I will not mod a car that’s not paid for and I won’t drive either of these cars stock.
One of the most generic and common cars ever produced. Standard-ness is a luxury of its own though, I guess, when it comes to (used)cars. Well, it’s used, but it wasn’t purchased off of anyone, more like my family found it at a then recently acquired nursing home, where it sat for an unknown number of years before falling into my possession. Came with a shit battery and a Masta-P mixtape though, so that’s pretty rad I guess. Tricked it out with a new gas cap and a steady and consistent supply of food scented air fresheners since I got it those years ago(currently vanilla cupcakes from the local Yankee Candle).
That’s not actually a picture of mine, I don’t have a current picture of mine right now, I might take one tomorrow just for this occasion.
My front bumper and grill have a noticeable dent in the center from a previous ice related accident, and I have a “JUST MARRIED” window decal on my back windshield from a past incident.
