Jon Snow is probably the only one in the family with enough common sense, next in line may be Arya, which isn’t saying much for the entire Stark family. It’s no surprise that they’re on the verge of being wiped out.

The Shannara series, it is like LOTR but alot more badass. Allanon would skull fuck Gandalf, shit would be a massacre.
The Lies of Locke Lamora movie would be fine if they would actually make the damn thing. That or Cryptonomicon directed by Christopher Nolan.
I think a series inspired by George Orwell’s 1984, fleshing out the details of that world more, could be very cool.

arya IS a badass. she got sword training from syrio, she has a dire wolf protector who now commands a legion of wolf minions, she can even warg into the dire wolf, AND she’s getting assassin training, including blind fighting proficiencies.
jon is a badass too, but he made some poor choices in dances with dragons. but the way he handled that lannister guy at the start of dances with dragons was nothing short of godlike. he said, SUP NOOB, RESPECT MY AUTHORITEH! and when the lannister guy didnt, jon laid down the law.
robb is pretty intelligent actually, he’s a military genius, his downfall was pussy.
eddard’s downfall is his honor. nice guys finish last. so do honorable ones. he isn’t dumb, he was smart enough to figure out the plot, but just too honorable to put an end to it.
bran isn’t dumb, he’s like a druid wizard sage now.

I found Dune boring when I had to read it for one of my classes but I did like Ender’s Game.
Look up SHerlock on BBC. It’s absolutely FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC despite only being 3 episodes a season.

Not sure if it would work as a TV series, but I would watch the shit out of a movie adaption of the Mortal Instruments series. Its kinda like twilight without the annoying as fuck fan girls and the overwhelming urge to pray for a crossover in which Blade destroys the entire fucking cast.
