i thought assist buttons did not work to be switch tricked, meaning no THC’s??
yea, i almost always used to like to jump straight up and used to wonder why i would get hit by a non glitched lk.
someone has lightning attacked me at the beginning of a match once, but i dont recall if i was trying to do a c.lk
im not sure, but it would make sense. this juggy player got me a couple of times at the beginning of the match. it just seems to difficult to do it the normal way

which is why with magneto, you can’t hold lk and psylocke and have it come out.
Oh I use a two-button headcrush opening ALL the time, so I know it definitely works for Jugs. And with Jill I always hold lp + tronbon assist and then hit fierce xx tyrant.

Yep, sure does, just tested it. Next time my pal is over, I’m going to test some of these other things to answer the question of this thread.
So, after doing some experimentation…Mags can stuff most anything that doesn’t flat out trade with him. c.short beats any of the normals I mentioned earlier, Ironman df.rh, psylocke f.rh, and spiral’s s.rh. He also stuffs THCs such as spiral G, rogue, and even Jugs if he uses an assist. He also beats two-button specials, such as drill claw and lightning attack. Interesting thing about the lightning attack is that Storm actually gets off the ground before she gets hit. There is one move, however, that c.short does NOT beat: that is Gief’s kick lariat. However, the kick lariat does not hit him, it just makes Gief avoid the hit. I suppose you can try to immediately cancel the lariat into a FAB…I’ll keep experimenting and perhaps come up with something useful…

i’m guessin you just hold the assist buttons and since you only have one super, it will automatically do an instant super
If you know it’s going to be low short, then jumping straight up at the start of the round always wins. Perhaps slightly risky, but doable.
One of my openings with a lot of chars is to jump straight up and then immediately block while calling drones. Nothing in reach of Psylocke to get double snapped and the drones themselves will keep anything ugly from happening. Calling drones and blocking low usually works too.
we were discussing in the thread earlier that a manual timed low short beats out jumping straight up sometimes. i distinctly remember this happening to me a few times.

No I mean a way to do a super that is NOT the THC super at the start of a round.
ooooh, i forget people have more than one super haha. i dont think so. or even if you could, it would be really hard to time considering you’d still have to input the directions. kind of defeats the purpose of pre-holding down buttons heh. the point of the switch trick is so you can just hold down the buttons with no timing needed. if you still have to time the directions, then its not really switch glitched at all cuz it relies on human timing.
I think it’s theoretically possible. I’m assuming you mean holding two punch or kick buttons down and just doing the motion right before action begins. I think I’ve gotten a switch-trick Juggs powerup like that once or twice.

i always beat glitched c.lk’s with his launch. but mag can just do a s.jab to beat that. bu then IM can do crouching moves and beat out the jab. mind games! mind games!
