Trish is good on paper. Out of all the Trish footage I’ve seen nobody has the perfect balance of offense with the littering of traps in blockstrings. Not that impressed with Floe’s Trish TBH…I wish Marn would have stuck with her but everyones a DHC glitch tier whore these days.
I dunno. I just feel like people arent playing her right. She can do everything and yet people only do one thing with her.
Im sure Vergil will hit harder than Dante, and probably will have more health. That I know. I like Dante better but we all know Vergil aka Nelo Angelo didnt play with his food like Dante does. So he’s not gonna be so anxious to be a combo maniac. Cant wait to see how Capcom incoroprates those dancing swords thingys might be like Strider’s Orbs.
I’m hopping on that Vergil wave before the flood gates open. But outside of fanboys just picking Dante and Vergil just because, I actually think that can be a very good pairing for the two assist wise. If he has anything resembling Judgement Cut, we just got a very good tool to hold people down for Dante to go ahead and start his spacing/mixups even easier that he could before. Sure it’s dumb to be theorizing on a character that all we got from is concept art, but I’m bored and I can’t help it.
Vergil is the only new character I give a shit about, and I was pretty disappointed he didn’t make it into MVC3. I’m hoping that he will serve well as battery character like Wesker, so I can just replace Wesker with him. His reveal trailer can’t come soon enough.
Dante is the closest thing this game has to a ‘Blazblue/Guilty Gear’ character. There would be immense rage if a character like Lambda got in. Not only from people fighting them, but also due to how crazy you got to be with execution to play them.
I hope Vergil is similar to Lambda with good mid-range control and spacing options. But for now, he is as Max put it “Another asshole with a sword” to me. Don’t take that as a bad thing either.
I tried to learn Dante, but damn those specials that cancel into others are just plain brutal. I think the current roster is what’s kept me away from Marvel the most, though I’m not a fan of X factor. Some of these characters for Ultimate are starting to pique my interest, going to be a lot of games coming out around then.
I really do hope Vergil has some summoned sword gameplay, I can’t imagine it being too much for aerial space control, maybe the circle of swords and the spinning projectile sword.
Hell yes, if Vergil is anything like Lambda then I’ll play the shit out of him. I originally wanted Galacta (yeah, her one shot was shit) with Lambda’s moveset + some galactus weaponry shenanigans but we know that will never happen.
Yes, only you. It was alluded to that DMC3 is Neo_G’s favorite non-fighting game, which went a long way to getting Virgil in the game. He should wind up every bit as crazy as Dante, while being just as different as Dante as he was in DMC3.
Why would they do this? If Dante was based on his DMC3 version, then why not base Vergil off DMC3 as well? I don’t think that would have gone well with the DMC team… “Oh hey guys, we know you had this awesome unique moveset for Vergil in DMC3, but we’re just going to give him Silver Samurai’s moveset instead!”
Though if that happens, I will table flip so hard that I will cause a gamma tsunami. I will then ride the tsunami all the way to Japan, then Blodia Punch the Capcom headquarters.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about Vergil in Ultimate Marvel 3 is that I never really expected him to be in the game. I always thought he’d be really cool as an addition, but with Dante and Trish already in the original, I thought that’d be it as far as Devil May Cry representation goes.
If Capcom takes the time out to make Vergil true to his Devil May Cry 3 incarnation as they did with Dante already, then not only will he be quite different from Dante, but he’ll also be a blast to play just like his brother. Still wish we had Nero tho’. He gets a lot of hate, but I still like him a lot.
Somehow that feels less than likely, even most keep away characters (excluding dorm and chris) do bad chip. I don’t expect to see Vergil having any insane chipping moves.
Having played Vergil in DMC3, it’s safe to say that he will have a similar teleport to Wesker’s. Other than that it very possible/doable for him to be a mix of Dante and Ammy. In DMC3 he has 3 weapons so it’s completely possible for him to weapon switch like Ammy with the S button as his teleport. The katana has range, the sword has speed, the gauntlet has damage. He sword moves are very similar to Dante’s and his gauntlet(Beowulf) is the same weapon that Dante uses, though Vergil’s moves are enhanced.
He also has phantom swords as projectile, in DMC3 he can call these even during his attacks to extend combo, they will probably implement something similar in Marvel but with heavy hit stun deterioration.
Being a huge DMC fan I’m pretty happy he’s in, hopefully he’ll be a more refined character than Dante who gets 60 specials and only 10 are truly useful.
