What are your Flaws as an Mvc2 player

yes, but I’m not to familiar with it. how does it place you and your opponent? would a cable be able to ahvb you after it? then maybe dhc to storm or sent or something?

or could a magz tempest>dhc storm?

it’s true that sometimes it’s better to consider positioning after a combo over the damage it gives.

HOWEVER, i believe that after the above Fast fly mentioned you can either fly up and grab, or simply do hp, unfly and commando will send them flying thus letting you fly down and dash under to maybe mix them up with either a sj grab, or they can fall into a launcher/cross up.

check this combo though, Sentinel/commando.

s.lk, s. mk, fly, lk, hk+ commando, unfly, sj, Dp rp, (fly screen breaks)

i came up with this combo because of Cable’s ability to AHVB your commando after the regular, s.lk, s.mk, fly, lk+commando, hk, rp, combo.(however you can sj, and hit him after fly over, but then agian they might dhc, or something)

either way due to cable’s ability to be a wall of pressure on sentinel even when he is doing nothing, i came up with the that little trick, i like it cause it breaks fly screen, thus putting cable closer in the corner, and putting him on the ground, and causing my assist to leave, over all it leaves me very safe.

Btw on the noted fast fly( hk, sj, lk, fly, lk+commando, hp, rp,) you can time it if you are above him to do lk after the rp, then mk, unfly, fly, grab+ commando or without him.

most of the time, this is from a storm LS DHC HSF (i use santhrax sometimes) launch -> air combo. and not in the corner as i have a different combo in the corner.

well, on the ahvb and tempest dhc hailstorm thing, i can’t say, but so far, i haven’t been hit yet by those moves you mentioned after doing this combo.

after any fly rp sentinel has frame advantage and can even combo if positioned and times right. so if you have unfly, you can always just unfly and block. if you don’t have unfly, you have to learn to time that combo so a lp RP would hit (keeping you above the opponent) but if they DHC while you don’t have unfly i think you’re pretty much going to get hit by a hailstorm. but thats one of the only ones that will hit because of area covered and low startup time. considering a stand alone hailstorm doesnt do too much damage, i think it would be worth the trade regardless. most of the time that i do that combo though, i always maintain the attacking position and follow up with a stomp+cap again

  1. no arcade stick
  2. bad execution (can’t rom or tri)
  3. no non-sentinel teams
  4. SCARED TO FUCKING DEATH OF MAGNETO (i can thank chris schmidt for that)
5.tend to slip up at end of matches even if winning by alot

but seriously.
magneto > me

  1. execution
  2. don’t have stick/probably won’t buy stick/can’t play on stick all that well
  3. no comp/play too much against mall scrubs but I am one anyways
  4. can’t use rush down characters
  5. gotten too Cable-centric (Team scrub but even my Sent sucks.)

bah I suck:wonder: .

Is this tread turning into a combo thread?

1.i could never block mixup great and never beat jwong xD

My execution isn’t on par… In theory I know how to play this game, it’s just getting over the barrier of actually doing what you want to do is what puts me down. I was learning Guilty Gear, I didn’t really want to learn Marvel as I knew of it’s learning curve and was pretty intimidated by the thought of wasting my time playing it. But my mind’s kind of changed about that now… It’s a hard task, but I’m enjoying it; so it’s all good.

Execution
Bad Judgment
Lack of Mashing
Lack of Focus

I have no real plan when fighting sent. All i can think to so is runaway and hailstorm. Also I only seem to play SSCyke and santhrax when i feel threatened by a player. It forces me to rely on DHC to much to win since my footwork with sent is sub par.

I have no real stick skill, combos, or strats. I pretty much just wing it with a mid-tier squad (because I like the characters). But I’m havin’ fun out there :wgrin:

who do u use as ur mid tier?

I’m a big Sakura fan, and I’m crap with the god tiers (Cable, Sent, Mags…).

So I stick with the Shotos mostly. And I run a little Jill & Spidey.

if u r ever in calgary, we should play. Jill/Spidey/Sakura vs Omega Red/Silver Samurai/Anakaris.

do u use ur mid tier team as ur serious team?\

spidey is actually pretty good, its jsut that so many new scrubs that have never palyed the game ALWAYS pick him, but they dont know how to do anything other than use him MvC1 Spidey-style, so I usually end up playing scrubby Spideys. there are a few people who can use Spidey pretty well at my arcade. One guy uses Jill exceptionally well, as well as Ken.

  1. Poor judgement
  2. Don’t have a killer instinct
  3. My sent sux
  4. Impatient
  5. Execution dies under pressure

I usually use that as my tourniment squad. But thats mainly because there’s no compitition in my area. Which is why I don’t have what it takes for tourniment-level play. I don’t play tourniment level players on a regular basis.

Also, Sorry Red, but I’m a Florida boy. Canadian is more of a nod to my heritage than anything else.

  1. I play fav character’s over top-tier.
  2. I mess up on punishment opportunities.
  3. I dont pay attention to my opponents health/Super bars much.
  4. I cant ROM.
  5. I get hit by assist characters too much(I never bait)
  6. I lack a good game plan.

Hmm…

1? Check…
2? Check…
3? Not so much…
4? Yup…
5? On and off
6? BIG check

Saved me the trouble of typing.
