And no, I’m not looking for a rant about Sol D-loops, Eddie unblockables, Faust FDC’s, Johnny’s damage, FRC’s, Millia’s speed and reset combo’s, (in #reload’s case) Dizzy’s 50/50 mix ups, Millia’s and Dizzy’s double dash, Zappa’s summons (Raoh and Dog might be your biggest rant by far), (another #reload reason) Ky’s new uppercut loop, Venom’s traps and 50/50, Potemkin’s Buster and how much meter he builds with Extend, (in XX) Venom’s normal throw Burst meter build-up, I-No’s dash, Robo-Ky, Testament 50/50, or whatever more rants people have about the game.
If you play the game, then you’d realize you’re wrong about all the crap that you’re talking about in the game, obviously if you don’t, you can just always come up with BS excuses instead of actually finding crap about the game. Oh also, game breaking glitches like the IK glitches doesn’t count as making the game broken to the point where it’s not a tournament worthy game.
For the speed, I don’t think it’s that overwhelmingly fast, sure, characters like Millia/Chipp can take advantage of it, but if you know how to play the game, you’d find ways around it.
And to answer the first poster. 2 new characters and since Zato1 is dead, there should be another host for Eddie, perhaps Raven? A Gear that is controlling Eddie, that’d be interesting.

Maybe i haven’t seen that much ggxx, but i’ve never seen anyone get a negative penalty, and if you ask me it’s a shame there’s no real keepaway players because sooner or later they’ll have to rush in or face the consequences.

I’m going to check into it, i don’t even play gg so i guess it’s “fair” to call me a scrub.
I’ll watch some match vids, if it’s anything more than what i’ve already seen then i’ll take back what i said.
But as it stands it seems to me it’s pretty gay, you can’t really zone or keepaway, it’s really “balanced” but all i see is offense, sure it’s fun to watch and all for most people but if you ask me all this anti defense crap reminds me of the “scrub” saying “Oh oh you block to much” like waiting for your opponent to mess up is some full proof strategy, well how about this? don’t mess up.
The only true turtle in fighting games right now is chunli, and that wouldn’t happen anywhere else simple because you chip people who turtle too much you make them move.
edit: If any monkey can do that i’d like to see you take on wong, it’s only cheap because you can’t beat it, and there are no real infinites in guilty gear, and supers suck dont’ they? or so i’ve heard, I want to be able to sit back and pressure you as long as i want and it’s not like blocking is free, and it’s not like there aren’t command grabs, and there’s even faultless defense to stop chip damage.
And also i’m not sure but don’t you get dizzy easier? that’s what i heard when you get negative penalty

#Reload is so great already, I can’t think of anything I’d like to see in GGXXX besides:
- Maybe one or two new characters…A.B.A would be pretty much a sure bet, Raven is probably a likely bet too considering how much they did with him in the GGXX Story Mode. Someone closely associated with the Post-War Management Bureau would be pretty likely as well. Hell, knowing how weird Ishiwatari and friends are, they might even consider putting in Fanny the nurse from the WSC games.
- New, awesome music like in GGXX and Isuka. The music is a full half of what makes GG so great, it’s that goddamn awesome.
- Maybe bring back some of the tunes from the original Guilty Gear that I liked (Conclusion, In Slave’s Glory, The March of the Wicked King, A Fixed Idea)
i mean i dont’ play it competitively, or even semi competitively if you like that term.
I’ve seen about 10 match vids and it’s boring as hell, one block string ends the other begins that’s what’s bound to happen in that kind of game.
Supposedly dizzy can play keep away, and so can venom. (this is just what i’ve heard)
I still think the whole principle of negative penalty is messed up, turtling and offense is pretty balanced in most games, give me a alpha 3 guard meter any day seriously.
Yea i guess GGXX is a good game i think it’s pretty balanced but it would be so much better without negative penalty, offense isn’t as fun without defense but maybe that’s just me.
Still you gotta give marvel it’s due, it’s been around for 4 years for a reason, yea there are infinites but only 2 are really used: rom infinite and the few people who use iron man use his infinite of course.
Most of the people who hate on marvel would probably get beat down hard by my Zangief/Juggs/Cyclops team.

you can’t say anything in ggxx (including frcs) can be that much harder to do then what marvel has or what cvs2 has.
Just know that marvel has had a consistent champ, and that says something about the game, not just any random scrub can be the best, sure he got beat once (which only happened recently) but still i think that says something about the game and the players who play it.
