Since the legs loop scales so badly, I’m pretty sure that st.HP xx HK SBK does more meterless damage than the legs loop. But it’s so impractical that we may as we’ll just do the legs loop.
Sorry, you’re right. But yes, not as practical in my opinion. But I haven’t practiced it at all. Lol
Edit: with ultra, sbk combos for meterless damage will become much more useful.
Possible meterless Punishes:
Punish DMG Stun Startup-Frames Meter Gain
cr. HK 90 150 7 60
Throw 140 100 3 40
3 cr. LP - st. HP 154 280 3 98
B MK --> MK D. U. MK 164 260 9 124
cr. HP xx MK SBK 230 300 7 150
cl. HP xx HK SBK 290 400 4 170
cl HK xx Hklegs cr.LP HP 254 500 4 148
cr. HP xx HK legs xx MK legs 158 300 7 114
cr. HP xx HK-MK legs cr. LP HP 239 455 7 164
cr. HP xx HK-MK legs cr. HK 221 405 7 156
cr. HP xx HK-MK legs X2 cr. HK 297 554 7 213
So the loop (on the characters it works on) is the most damaging combo, with the most stun, meter and a hard knockdown on top of it. (ending with cr.LP into HP is even 303 dmg and 574 stun)
But only if you can really do 2 reps and the link to cr.HK.
If you can`t (or its not possible on the character) cl.HP xx HK SBK is pretty great, esp. in Ultra with the added knockdown.
Infiltration used in the grand finals vs K-Brad the cl.HKxxHK-legs cr.LP - HP (with the 1frame link between legs and cr. LP), which is better than the cr. HP legs with 1 rep. (But you have to be a little closer)
ill try to update some info in this thread, just because edition select at some point will be tournament standard… i hope so anyways lol
Tournament standard? C’mon now.
yes
you dont seem to understand, but in the end this edition mode is the only thing keeping sf4 from furter stagnation
sure there will be some idiots trying to be “funny” just using vanilla sagat
but if you watched yesterday decapre body both vanilla sagat and AE yun (granted ryan hart wasnt the best example of adaptability theres is, but yeah)
Vanilla sagat wont be that stronk, you will see
You don’t think there’s too many variables? Maybe in the long run, like you said to keep the game interesting, but I don’t see that happening for a while.
no i dont see it as too many
in the end you wont play the “bad” version of all characters, and aside chun sagat gief and a few others wont worth using all the available versions, i bet anyone decent with chun would pick AE chun, same goes for a lot of characters
Fair enough
I agree. Eventually Edition Select will be tournament standard. Not at EVO 2014 though is my guess.
update:
Unblockable on cammy, cl.mp(1st hit)->Fk.LL->extend to mk->sweep. Walk forward slightly, jump mk. Similar to forward grab dash-> jump mk unblockable setup. Timing is slightly strict.
if you want more meterless, you can connect another cl.mp(1st)->FK.LL(non extended)->lp->FP.
if you have 2 meters, go for cl.Hk->HKLegs -> FADC -> mp(1st hit) -> HK.LLxxMklegs -> Sweep. repeat!. One hell of a punish for a whiffed DP… if you can pull it off XD. One cycle can take half or more of her HP. For some weird reason, cammy can get out of this unblockable setup by doing a neutral jump =_=; which is still punishable just watch out for the EX divekick
edit: i seem to not be able to replicate this, i guess this goes to the unpractical box. u get eat an autocorrected reversal dp by getting it wrong. It is there though, i found it by setting the dummy to do it and i couldnt block.
actually against cammy we have unblockables from every knockdown
yes EVERYONE gary oldman´s voice
so, like i have said before, cammy is kinda f*cked in the same way we are dealing with her oki.
i’ve been looking for the unblockable setups, i cant find any apart from the jump mk off a forward throw. Care to share them with me? Thanks in advance
like i said every thing
sweep,
f.throw (both midscreen and corner)
b.mk TC
ex HZU
focus crumple into HZU (MK/HK)
EX legs
EX sbk (corner)
The thing is most if not all of this knock downs you have to eye ball the cross up j.mk/j.lk. Sorry there´s no whiffing set up for this, you gotta learn the fucking timing like you would in old FG ala sako vs xaohai, hint: HIT THE LAB
cr hp legs is killing me, i dont want to slide but i cant piano :S its annoying!
Just get over your preconceptions and slide.
Even if you do learn to piano it, trying to link into another cr.fp -> hk legs while pianoing is just making it unnecessarily hard on yourself, p-linking with cr.mp or cr.lp and then sliding is the most reliable way to do it.
How do you control normal legs vs ex legs…
I piano and I can control it somewhat by forcing my hands to p-link the last two kicks exactly for EX but its really hard since the piano is so hard, and I have to then do the opposite for normal legs.
I also dont allow myself the use of the kkk buttons because they dont have them at arcades.
So just basically tell me its readily doable and pros do it nonstop in which case ill practice…or no one does it in which case ill give up chun.
Errr… Haha, if you do mean legs from cr.fp then I’ve been practicing since this tech was discovered and I can’t do it. I guess some people have it and some don’t. I just slide now, I’ve never had EX legs come out accidentally. Good luck!
P.s. If you’re not talking about from cr.fp, then I’m super confused.
what would the inputs be if i were to plink mp into legs?
