I have this ViewSonic VP171b that has a swivel pivot for vertical mode. It is only a 17 in though. Good if you are looking for a budget Tate Monitor. It is really old like from 2004 so good luck finding one.
I don’t think there’s any inherent danger in flipping the TV on its side. There’s a thread on the shmups forum that’s nothing but pictures of people doing so. I have a cheap little CRT tated on my desk like this:
I bought a wall mount for my 32 inch sharp television, but even tightening it as hard as possible does not stop it from slowly, very slowly, turning itself back into horizontal mode.
i kno this may be a dumb question but how do you get the tv to run in tate mode is there a setting or do you just turn the tv on its side and vola its done. Any help wud be appreciated cuz my dad loves shmups and it would be cool to implement this for him
