Me, Kai, and Shgl were staying at the Palms Place (Playboy Hotel) and there were a lot of smoking hot girls there. They would look at my TE stick, and oh god, the soul piercing stare of “it will never happen” would kill me. GAWD!

Hey, think it’s great you’re holding this down. Strange that it took this long for California to have an event like this. Me and 22 other ppl from SLC, UT drove down to EVO and loved it.
As of now, Me and 5-8 other friends very very much considering flying to this event. This is quite an expense but I don’t want to miss this opportunity.
- Could you tell me how big the suites are?
- I read that you are having 2 ppl from each pool qualify. Was wondering if you could make it more like Evo, where 4 ppl could qualify.
- It was amazing at Evo, how I rolled in with 23 ppl from Utah and NONE of us were in the same pool, which I thought was perfect. Is there anyway to guarantee that, so we don’t play our own statesman in the first round.
Thanks for all you’ve done for the community, this is tough work. I find it stressful to hold 40 man ranbats in Utah.

California had Cali Regionals held by the one and only 5 Star Yi Wang early in the year (which was amazing), but unfortunately, nothing has happened since. Well, Warzone is happening now. =P
I would love to have a Utah presence at Warzone.
The suites are pretty damn large. It’s a room with double beds attached to a huge living room style suite with a dining table for 8, like, 4 couches, and a kitchen area. I’ll have videos of it up soon. Only thing is, I think I bought them all for the weekend, haha. One of them is going to my girl friends that I have effectively bribed to come. One is going to a potential VIP group (other than yours of course good sir), and then the last for myself. LoL.
If you guys are really interested in coming down and getting the suite, contact me and I can see what I can do. It’s definitely a better deal to have the suite over the weekend as opposed to getting multiple double rooms. Ultimately, I could give you one of the suites and have all my girlfriends sleep in mine, but then we would just end up doing each others’ hair and talk about our feelings and just have an overall girl’s night out / slumber party, and I got a tournament to run. Just let me know what’s good and I’ll work it out with you.
The rule sets will most likely change as I get closer to the date and know the number of entrants. If enough people enter, I may up the bonus prize pot even more. But all that is still to come. Keep an eye on the thread and website for more info.
You can be sure that brackets will be setup correctly. We are definitely taking your location into consideration when we divide people up. If you see something like playing your friends in the second round or something, just let your tourney rep know. We’ll make sure you guys are good!
I’m going to have the assistance of (more like be carried by) the best tourney organizers in SoCal helping me so my hats off to them. The same guys who have been running the Arcade Infinity and Denjin Arcade ranking battles will be in attendance running the show. You can be sure that it’s gonna be smooth sailing. I just signed papers and bought stuff. Haha. Other people are the real muscle behind the machine.
I must take a second and thank you for your interest Hadouken82. I am a bouncy and outgoing guy and I love meeting new people, especially from out of state! I am really excited for Utah to make it out. Come and represent…and drink! Make sure to cheers me.
