This is my first tournament and I’ve heard a lot about crampness, sweat, smells and such. Is this likely going to be the case?

I’m making my gf come with me and some other friends that play sf casually will be attending the finals on Sunday. I’m hoping to show them how cool high level play is (and hopefully get them into it) as well as dispel the stereotype they have about SF as the typical gamer geek crowd.

but if it’s a room with a bunch of smelly sweaty dudes…not sure if that will help the cause lol.

This is the typical scenario with any large crowd. Body heat and crazy excitement and dudes jumping around will cause people to sweat. Then you have people that don’t bother to shower at all. Everyone has their habits. Some just choose bad hygiene as one of them. If you want to avoid the must, smell, etc, I suggest getting there early and grabbing a seat towards the front close to the stage. Being in the back with the standing crowd is the worst place to be.
