We all get started someway somehow. I went to AI by myself and over time, made a lot of friends and met a lot of great people. It’s the reason why I started hosting WCW in the first place: for my friends to have a good time and a major to call our own.
If you read back a few pages, you’ll see why we’re giving it a chance. We’re down to give most games a chance because WCW is a soul powered event. No corporate talk; By the players, for the players.

I apologize about my lack of presence. I’ve been away on vacation and my internet access over the last few weeks has been spotty at best. I did reply to DGV that we wouldn’t be able to add ST this year, but that I would be looking to add it next year. I did not receive any follow up after that, so I’m not sure what you’re referring to. Did I miss anything further?
Anyhow, Afterhours would be an ideal location to have ST this year, though access to it has been effectively cut off now that the date for room booking with the promo code has been passed. I’ll discuss further with Kai to see what we can do about it.
I want to accommodate as much as possible, but I can’t have side tournaments running on the tournament floor for more or less, the reasons Kai already posted.
Thanks for the reply from you and Kai recently in this thread and the ST section. I actually never received a response back from John. The last message I received was on December 17th, from him asking me if Classic Mode was ok and then you mentioned you would speak with Kai. That was about it. I sent you another message over 2 weeks ago to get a status update, but I guess you were on your trip.
I know you mentioned about the Afterhours event having a cut off restriction. Assuming the players wanted/are willing to pay a fee to access Afterhours, would it be possible to setup a side ST event?
I know you and Kai are both extremely busy with the preparation for the this massive tournament. We (SF2 players), would be extremely grateful if you guys would consider this request. We’re all definitely willing to work with any space or arrangement your staff needs to accommodate the official games.
Given that you guys mentioned space constraints, does that mean that there will be no casuals taking place once tourney matches (HDR) are concluded? If so, you may want to inform people as quickly as possible since I am sure most are under the impression that the “casuals policy” will be the same as it has been for the last 2 Warzones (in that once tourney matches have concluded, stations are available for casuals).
Assuming this is still the case, can we just set up 2 of our own CRTS and superguns alongside the HDR setups (or slide them) since 99% of the HDR guys will be entering the ST side tourney any way?
I’ll be as accommodating as possible. Kai and I will figure something out tonight and post up something that will hopefully please as many as we can.
This year will be no different from previous years in this aspect.
When we mention space, we mean for permanent stations that will remain the same game for the duration of the event. Rest assured, outside of tournament play, all stations will be available for casuals for its game.
