What exactly do you expect people to find with Wesker? He basically has one BnB that can be hit-confirmed into in a bunch of different ways. You aren’t really going to be seeing much else out of him in the combo department from here on out.

I realize that, but the cobra strike>ghost butterfly>etc combo is probably going to be the most damaging thing we’ll see for quite a while.
Unless you just want to see style combos, which I can totally understand, but those are usually just as impractical as XFC combos.
Something I’ve been trying to get down pat. Maybe someone with better timing can give it a whirl and possibly record it.

This is my attempt to get a hard hitting combo and ending it with as many Phantom Dance hits as possible.
Got a couple solid hours in on training for once
With a Wesker/Akuma/Trish Team, I managed to get this combo out:
:l::h::qcf::l: dash forward~Samurai Edge OTG~Akuma Tatsu Assist wait for falling corpse :s::uf::h::s:…(this part i don’t remember if it works but) Samurai Edge OTG~Trish Peak-a-boo Assist, Lost in Nightmare(Lv.3 Super)
I do remember being able to connect something after a connected peak-a-boo, but the last few times i did it, they jumped out of hitstun right after

In that case, I can easily swap out Tatsu assist for that cr m, and take out peekaboo for Tatsu Assist to Lv3
If you have the option the Tatsu assist should be the last assist used. It is the easiest to combo off of since stun decay doesn’t effect it. It makes easy set ups into lvl 3 or wall bounce into lvl 1 for max damage.

I just got done saying the same thing in the discussion thread. I honestly think that trying to encourage creativity and higher level play is lost on people here. People don’t understand that out of the cast of 40 characters, there’s 117 different assists across 39 characters (excluding Wesker of course). Those assists have different properties so playing around with them will give different results.
Knowing the mechanic behind that assist is HUGE. Look at Justin Wong, he found out (not exactly sure how, but irrelevant) that Tron’s assist has invulnerability frames and he’s using that to win tourneys. Stuff like that might be a bit more difficult to find, but other basic stuff like OTG, wall bounce, ground bounce, etc is pretty easy to find. All it takes is a bit of experimentation. It seems to me that people don’t want to do that, instead they want to be spoon fed so that it’s easy for them. I’m not down for encouraging that kind of behavior. It doesn’t help create good players at all.

Does have problems doing the link on Sentinel? It feels like he’s always too far away to link the c:M: after the OTG gunshot.
I am finding for assists that it is better to choose a combo assist that doesn’t scale the hell out of your combo. This is another reason Akuma’s Tatsu assist is still one of the best compliments to Wesker. The assist can be used for practically anything.
Anyone run Weasel Shot (Dante-Y) assist with Wesker? I’ve been using that instead of Jam Session lately and it’s working out alright. I get some horizontal cover/projectile pressure which is always good, but I mainly find it useful in following up after OTG Samurai Edge, in the same way as Jam Session. The difference is that I find it much easier to combo into Jaguar Dash, which I have trouble connecting after OTG > Jam Session.
So, what I do is land any given Wesker combo/knockdown into OTG gun, Weasel Shot, Jaguar Dash > fierce follow-up (causes spinning knockdown), and then I can do launcher into whatever air combo or just do a ground combo into Cobra Strike.
Edit: the post above made me realize that there is a decent bit of scaling in the combo. Weasel Shot doesn’t do too many hits, but Jaguar Dash is a multi-hitter, too, so you do lose out a bit on it. If you really extend the combo with an aerial exchange and super, it’s still worth it though, and it does build you plenty of meter.
Jam Session is great, though, so I’m still unsure if the added/easier comboability of Weasel Shot is worth the trade-off.
On that note, is there any reliable way of landing Jaguar Dash after OTG gun + Jam Session?
A lot of these are very simple modifications to the same combo
You need to wavedash all the way up to him. A single dash will not travel far enough.
Also,
Dr. Doom’s A assist can do the same exact thing (though you have to delay the low samurai edge much more than with the akuma assist) with the only downside being that it scales down everything afterwards pretty hard. Still really useful if you want a beam assist instead of the tatsu assist. I’m going to guess that it will work with IM’s unibeam assist as well, but I haven’t bothered to test.

Yeah, you want to know how he found out? Probably the same way I did. I was kicking ass when she jumped out and said, “opp popa tea!” and I got hit every time. The thing is I’m not picking her bulky ass or Haggar because I don’t like their character designs.

Guh having trouble with performing bnb online with wesker, particularly the otg gunshot. I’ve set my lag to minus one bar, which seems to be the most accurate representation of the input lag, but still havin a combo i can pull 100% offline and like 40% online is so gay. Would wave dashing into it help with getting it what with the extra frame to input it? I also imagine if you wave dash into it you could also got straight into l m h instead of just crouching m into h, making it even more pratical online. I would be praticing this right now, but im so ill i feel like any flashing lights will instantly send my illness into x factor

This has probably been asked before or is lost in a thread somewhere, but has anyone been able to combo off wesker’s lost in nightmares lvl3 hyper? I use wesker/doom with molecular shield and i notice that i can OTG gun shot to doom assist(messed around today and found it out but i have to leave and don’t have time to mess with it). Just wondering if anyone has developed more elaborate combos to continue the damage after the lvl3 hyper?
EDIT: So far it’s working on sentinel, dormammu, and hulk…
