Wesker Combo Thread

Won’t work no matter what direction TAC you use.

this is not a real tac infinite since you have to x factor , normally wesker can infinite on level 3 doing qcf+1 , shoot , repeat

Someone mind pointing towards the Wesker XF specific combos?

That’s not an infinite.

What level of X-Factor? In the early levels there isn’t much difference to your combos regardless.

All levels. I just want to be more familiar with Wesker in X Factor.

S j.MHS Sam Edge otg cr.M H qcfM HS j.MHS works

a more damaging bnb is cr.M H qcfM cr.H Cobra Sam Edge otg cr.M cobra

both are with glasses off

Who starts their combos with S?
And the second combo change the s.:h: to cr.:h: for better damage.

I can do a video of X-Factor combos if you’d like.

just letting those who land an S know that there’s better damage then BBCS gunshot

and I don’t really remember but I tried cr.H with the second combo but it didn’t work.

It’s not practical. Hardly anyone will use that because you never get the chance for raw :s:.

cr.:h: does work.

I think it is. it’s a -1 launcher that’s a great anti air. People also use it for cross ups on inc.

thanks, didn’t know cr.H worked.

Obviously, that’d be amazing

Check the video thread - the video is there. I still need to do annotations.

it kills thor its an infinite, seth killian told me it personally

Anyone have any Wesker/Vergil combos or resets?

Relative noob to Wesker here, trying to (re)learn some of his combos. I’m practicing that mission mode combo which is something like M, H, Cobra Strike, teleport, OTG gun, cr.M, S, jump, etc. I never realized that Wesker could follow up his own OTG like that. But for some reason I can’t land the followup cr.M if I try to do a basic combo like MHS, jump, MMHS, land, OTG. Is that just hitstun deterioration kicking in, or is there some special reason it can’t be done? Or is it possible to do and I just suck too much to do it?

Hitstun deterioration. The mission one mode you’re doing does the self-relaunch early on.

Pfft. Those two have no synergy

::Walks off whistling…::

But I just wanted to say something mysterious and walk off in peace -.-

Seriously though, there are too many options off of Vergil’s rapid slash to actually go through them all. But here’s one anyone could use:

Any lengthy combo ending in OTG Gunshot + Rapid Slash is a a pretty damn good mixup because well… it doesn’t always “work.” At least, it doesn’t work one way, but it IS always safe, and always gives you a free mixup or reset.

One of 5 things can come out of a properly (“properly” being completely up to what you want to attempt) completely timed OTG GS + RS:

  1. It combos. You can do a super afterwards if you want, or just teleport over for a 50/50 mixup. Depending on when you teleport and the distance of the gunshot OTG, you’ll either end up behind them or in front of them just as they pop out of the end of rapid slash. They’ll be airborn, and at the perfect height for jump loops or an air grab. Hell… you can actually dash back under them before they land for another mixup if you so choose.

  2. It combos… sort of. By that I mean sometimes it’ll hit, but they pop out before it finishes. There’s no real indicator as to when this is going to happen. By proceeding as you would if it combos, you’ve got the same mixup opportunities without needing to tweak much of anything. Yet, it’s an even worse situation for them. They no longer know when to start looking for a throw tech, and if they start mashing in anticipation of it, all you’ve got to do is punish.

  3. It doesn’t combo, they pop out of it, and block. In this situation they’re dragged across the screen, making you completely safe. At this point you can, yet again, teleport for a 50/50 mixup.

  4. It doesn’t combo, they pop out of it, and they’re mashing/not blocking. Well… you keep doing the same thing you’d do in the other 3 situations. Difference is, you don’t have to worry about getting the reset anymore because they’ll still be getting carried by Rapid Slash. All you have to do is dash/teleport after them and continue the combo.

  5. Delayed gunshot OTG + Vergil then attempt a throw. When they’re in the air, go for a throw attempt or a dash under 50/50. If Vergil catches them on the 50/50, just continue the combo. If they tech the throw, they still have to block Vergil,

So as you can see there, from almost the same setup there are 5 potentially different outcomes.

The incoming mixup potential is batshit as well. They’ve got to look for a throw if they want to come in swingin, tech it, and still have to block. Or, just bait them into mashing something by just jumping, and Rapid Slash will give you a free combo if it hits. You can teleport behind them for an easy and safe 50/50 as well… etc, etc, etc.

I will say this though… while there’s obvious potential for simple mixups/resets with Rapid Slash, by far the most sinister thing about it is the type of shenanigans you can pull off, and then have Rapid Slash make them safe. Definitely DEFINITELY look into those shenanigans, hehe…
