The only way I can record a match is offscreen. Even then I don’t know if I have a way of getting it on my comp. I could use a crappy laptop webcam I have but the quality is going to be ballz.

Well, my original idea was to have some dedicated recorders, and hopefully in the future, that’s something we’ll be able to manage, but the league will have to get noticably larger before that happens, in the mean time, if you can record a match fine, if you think it’ll be terrible, you don’t have too. I just appreciate people who can making the effort, it’ll obviously help our league get to a better start by being able to showcase some of our league’s talent. Of course hopefully the experience will be a positive one and word of mouth will start to bring in more and more new players until this thing really explodes. Can you imagine where WWL league play is just the NORM on Monday and Tuesday nights? It’d be pretty awesome…
The real matches to record and have dedicated recorders for would be our Tuesday Tournament sessions. If say Thelo didn’t make the tournament session (I’m betting he will… but there’s a lot of damn good matchups in that pool…) if he would volunteer to go record a match or two or three that’d be great. I know Sweet Poison has offered to record when he’s not playing as well.
I guess the moral of the story is, this first season we’ll be working out alot of kinks and hopefully people will be patient and stick with the league. I’d like to get a lot of things figured out before our season finale WWL open invitational tournament which I’m hoping will draw out quite a few players (that’ll be sometime in December I imagine). I’ll probably be posting that in the tournaments and events thread in the dojo here in the coming days.
BTW, let’s all wish Vance the best with his website design. I’m really hoping for something that’ll bring players back to check out standings, link to our videos, maybe post some expert commentary, get some little insights etc. It probably won’t be ready in time for the end of Season 1, but hopefully in time for Season 2 we’ll have everything set up for our World Warriors Weekly show which will have highlights and be a sportscenter esque (albeit VERY EXTREMELY RIDICULOUSLY low budget) show. I’m sure it’ll all work itself out and the WWL will continue to grow and help people meet and get better.

It’s the weirdest thing, all messages pertaining to her Chun are of praise and admiration while the general consensus on Live is that my Ken is a cheap scrub that spams fireballs and knee bash.
Don’t sweat it. People just get really bored playing you because you generally aren’t a dynamic participant in the game. (Lots of turtling and playing it safe.)
You’re pretty good, take pride in that. Also know that, if you’re going to play a certain way, you gotta expect people to react accordingly.

Alright, so I’ve seen some design pages for the WWL website… its looking DAMN GOOD if I do say so myself, let’s all encourage Vance (AKA LittleCowPower) to keep up the good work. Also along those lines, when you report your results, if you could take a note of who your opponent played that’d be helpful, we’re going to keep more detailed records so all the information we can get would be helpful.

Yo, Would my matchups be ok playing earlier?
Because I have to work at 6 pst on monday now, I had to cover a shift.
If you can get in your matches with the other people in your pool,that’ll be between you and the other people in the PST pool. I don’t want to make a habit of it though. Also, if there’s matches you can’t get before then you’ll have to take losses in those matches. I understand situations come up and I’m sorry that it didn’t work out this week. It really stinks you have to work on Labor Day…
For his opponents: If you do play him, that’s fine report your results like normal, if you don’t play him on Monday night, use that as a break, and report it as a 2-0 win.
Id also like to play my matches earlier if possible… I might be going to a concert monday night, which would interfere with the tourney time. Of course I understand if that can’t be accommodated, but I’d appreciate it if it is possible :wonder:

On that note, please report such 2-0 wins as a win by default or bye. It won’t affect league points but it will make the record-keeping and recapping process for the website a lot easier.
FYI to my opponents - im going out of town sunday and should be back way before 8:00pm monday. however, if im not on-line come tourny time then my car broke down or there was some crazy labor day traffic or something. but im fully planning on being back in time.

EDIT: You know what… if you can arrange the matches with the PST people, get as many of them in as you can. I checked my messages and you said you’d try to make it and I don’t know why I thought that meant you couldn’t do it this week. SO if you are in PST Pool A, please PLEASE try to make sure baklakiller gets his sets in, I apologize for the inconvenience… always damn bugs to work out at first…Feel free to send flogging and hate mail to my account as you desire
