there have obviously many fighing games, and some of them had weird character inclusions. in my opinion the weirdest has to be the AM2 Palm Tree in Fighters Megamix, even though characters like Hornet, Deku(has nothing to do with Mty Hero Academia) and Mr.Meat are playable in the same game.

I think the Wii Fit Trainer is a rather bizarre addition to the Super Smash Bros. character roster. I’d even go so far as to say she is the most atypical combatant in the entire series, with the possible exception of Mr. Game & Watch. One could even make a valid argument that it’s a toss up between the two.
Smash isn’t a fighting game so it doesn’t apply.
