Weird yellow oil on top of the mounting plate of old sanwa joystick, also looser

So I took out the old Sanwa JLF from my Hori SCV stick to put into my HRAPv4 and I found a bunch of yellow oil sitting on the top for some reason. I don’t know what that’s for and it confused the hell out of me. Also the joystick is a bit looser after I put back the old spring inside of it so I don’t know if it’s just the spring or the PCB assembly giving out on me. But I this JLF hasn’t even been used as much as I would like to so I don’t know the likelihood of the PCB giving out on me. Any explanation on the oil? And is the stick just simply broken in or is it something else?

Springs will eventually wear down, joystick springs are actually design to be slightly too stiff when they are new.
If you think the Spring is too weak, just replace it.

As for the oil, I never heard of yellow oil coming from anywhere before. Thats all on you, something in your home must of leaked onto your stick.
Just wipe the oil off.
