What’s a good way to workout your lower neck and upper back (above and between shoulders)? Preferably without equipment unless there’s just no other known way.
Can anyone give me a reason why I am so prone to muscle spasms whenever I wake up? That’s why I usually quit working out because I can deal with being tired but I cant deal with the pain of a damn Charley Horse right after I get out of bed.
I’ll be honest your results are only half of what they could be drinking lowers body metabolism and smoking weed lowers cardio so i won’t do any of that while working out if you want the best results
weed and lifting is perfectly fine, it might have a small negative effect on training, but I’ve never read anything that’s concrete on the subject. If anything, the increased appetite from munchies will help you eat more if you’re a hard gainer. Back when I was bodybuilding, I was regularly smoking up and eating the whole fucking house, and I got up to 195lb solid muscle. Not saying it was all the weed, but looking back, I don’t see how it could have negatively affected me.
Drinking, on the other hand, will definitely fuck your progress up. A beer here and there, hell, even the once in a while shit faced smashed drunk is fine, just don’t make it a weekly thing. Hell, don’t even make it a monthly thing.
And a big fucking LOL @ Serpent the curry eating smelly, suicide bombing little paki-ass muslim. It turns out all this time, this Asian hating mother fucker ain’t much better. Angry, hateful, small-man complex suffering fuck and now as it turns out, a dirty minority just like the people he hates. That’s one dangerous combo.
(I seriously don’t mean to offend any other good muslim and/or Indian/pakistanian, but going by how much Asian bashing this little midget has done over the years, I feel it’s well overdue he got a taste of his own curry-flavoured shit.)
either or. most people would say 1 solid rep. when i say fit though, thats basically a generalization of the entire publics point of view (most people are fat, too skinny, and basically out of shape). so I wouldn’t go as far as saying benching your own weight is impressive, you’re just not out of shape,
Might as well shoot for higher. From my past personal figure, i was benching 250lbs 1 rep for 2 sets at 170 lbs 5’10 (a lil chubs, probably 20-25% body fat) and thats right about what i think a good chest size should be. Not too huge, yet enough to impress and let people know i hit some weights.
There are way too many pages for me to browse through so can anyone quickly recommend a good protein shake/supplement? I am trying to lose weight but also trying to gain some muscle. Any input appreciated.
I use Optimum Nutrition’s 100% whey gold standard, but I’ve heard good things about products from trueprotein.com. I think the latter costs more money.
I just bought the Natures Best Isopure Whey…Has zero carb/sugar for the vanilla & only 3 carb/0 sugar for the chocolate…Vanilla tasted pretty good…I’ll post up results in about a month…My first time drinking this stuff…
True protein is good product. It doesn’t really cost more money, if you look at the fact that ON uses a protein mix. Mostly isolate (say 51%) then concentrate (the rest)…not sure about the actual numbers, too lazy to do the math.
Isolate is around 9 a lb, and concentrate is under 5 a lb…so near 7 to make your own mix. Right around the same price as ON.
Though you can choose your own flavors, own sweetening agent, etc.
Scivation is another cheapie whey that tastes different.
They have that one brand at walmart for dirt cheap as well, will work in a pinch.
yeah, it’s a heavy product though. I’m sure they don’t make much on the shipping. Look around on the forum for one of the 5% off codes, and it should take care of some of the problem.
I remember ordering fish oil for $25 I think and shipping was close to 10.
I seriously need recommendations for a weight lifting shoe. Converse won’t cut it because they have ankle restriction and I start each session with an Olympic lift. I’ve been trying to order Nike Frees 3.0 online, but no luck.
The reason being is I was asked to leave my school gym Monday when I was deadlifting without shoes. I called up today asking if I could use ballet slippers and was given a harsh no.
