Just whey protein powder right now.
youāre gay. lol
oh really? not the answer iām looking for. Iām already doing that. I was watching a UFC thing and the dude was taking a buttload of supplents 3 times daily. Iām wondering WHAT ELSE is there to take daily. Calcium⦠etc.
i was looking for a thread like thisā¦Anyways i went for a jog earlier and when i finished my knees hurt so fucking bad, every time i bent themā¦it was if 2 nails were scraping them when i bent and unbent themā¦wtf was this?
~If this isnt the thread point me in the direction
Well I keep supplements to a minimum for now, but thereās plenty of things you could take. Almost anything for vitamins, fish oil caps, creatine, vegetable supps, and more.
Not sure what the pain is, but this is the right thread. Try cycling or swimming if you want to take pressure off your kness and still do cardio.
hey guys iām looking to start up a new excersise regimne and was looking for some of you guys to check it out and give me your opinions. Their is not leg excersises because i do tkd and compete in tournies soo just training for those does the leg workouts for me. also i cant get to a gym so all this is done at home but i have freeweights and a barbell so i can do things like deadlifts and such.
monday:
300 crunches
120 push ups
tuesday:
arms and chest
wensday
300 crunches
120 push ups
thursday
work arms and chest
friday
300 crunches
120 push ups
saturday/break
sunday/break
Dude, your chest barely gets any rest because push ups are still going to work your pecs even if youāre not doing any weight lifting for that day. What are you trying to improve, size or strength?
That sounds like a good arm workout to me⦠why would you think something is wrong there?
iām not saying your lieing but 300 crunches done correctly sounds like crap. and 3x a week? sounds like a lot of over training. i think people donāt treat their abs like their other muscles and work them way to hard and waste their time.
Well, not too much input on this, but I did hear a report on the radio about having a lot of muscle mass. NFL players are huge compared what they used to be and all that muscle is seriously straining their cardivascular system, but only because they tend not to have a healthy dietary lifestyle after they quit playing.
As for reducing muscle mass, less protein I guess, lessen the weight load in exercises, not sure what else you could do. Donāt quit lifting though, it does the body good.
yeah heard about that too
Too much stress on the heart to deliver to very heavy builds⦠but as far as I believe, its because of the lack cardio/sedentary lifestyleā¦
if youāre training mma 2-3 times a week, I would guess your on the safe sideā¦
but Im no expertā¦

Are you kidding? Thatās ridiculous.
both.
i do 300 just not straightā¦i have to take a bit of a break after 110. Then i go back til it hurts againā¦stop and then keep going till i hit 300.
Guess itās time for the noobie to chime in
I read a lot of the posts and I donāt want to give specific training advice because Iāve learned everyone has a routine which works for them.
The one only real truth Iāve discovered in weight training, which applies to everyone, is that youāve gotta keep consistant. You canāt decide to be healthy one week then take two months off and start all over again, itās gotta be a lifestyle change. Hell it sucked when I first started, but it was like brushing my teeth, which I also hated at first, now I canāt go a day without doing both ( ok maybe a couple days:sweat: )
Hereās a pic of what I look like, sorry for the ghetto-ass-picture-in-the-mirror smiling-like-a-douche-bag-revealing-my-pink-bathroom-pose, but whatever works
^^
dam son your pretty big, your biceps I want arms like that lol, mine are twigs at the moment.
How long you been training?
Thanks Iāve been going at it since I was 18.
At my workplace they have Fighting Mania (Hokuto no Ken Punching Game) which I love playing, I bring an extra shirt cause I sweat so much or until my arms go numb. I may post a video of me beating it on the first hard, where you have to take on Jagi, Amiba, Ryukeen and finally Roah, waaaaataaaaaahhhhhhh!
Ah yea that punching game Ive seen it but never played it, looks like fun though.
plus Fist of the north star is great in general.
Yeah I just downloaded the Hokuto no Ken arcade game for PS2, and I thought Guilty Gear had easy combos :X
Iāve searched youtube and there are no good fighting mania videos, only 12 year olds or drunk frat boys playing the game. Methinks I should find a good way to record myself playing it
if you are doing mma stuff and in general, for abs i would do them weighted to where you can only do 8-12 repsā¦builds more core strength than doing 300 repsā¦
im outi
Roberth
psā¦i have also never heard of having too much muslce and it being bad for your heart HAHAHA that sounds rediculous to meā¦
i tried weighted but it didnt feel like it was doing anything. I just place the weight on my stomache and hold it there and do crunches right?
