One thing, also… and this is really important: I want us all to get better. That’s the number one goal here. So please feel free to ask anyone anything regarding the game. There are a lot of us that frequent Xanadu that have been playing for a very long time. There is a wealth of knowledge in that building. Things you might not even realize you’re missing. Just talk to us; have conversations.
I know a lot of times newer players don’t like to talk to the older players because there is a perception that the older players wouldn’t be receptive to that conversation… This really isn’t the case. If anything, we have a hard time talking shop with the newer players because there is a perception that a lot of the newer players like to act like they already know everything. At the end of the day, we all lose out.
I want these to spur growth not only in the number of active players in the scene, but in the skill level of those involved. I want to get better. I hope you all do too. We have to work together for that.
VA heads can make it if they carpool and make the effort. It’s worth the drive if we can get going before rush hour.
I don’t want to sound like hypocrite because there is no way I can go to anything until I start getting paychecks from working (I had to borrow 3 dollars just to get in last night) but everyone should try to make this if they want to get better.
Be ready starting May 5th for Xanbats guys, and come hungry for that ticket to Evo. Super Street Fighter 4 is that next level.

I’m new to the MD fighting game scene, and new to SF in general. Definitely gonna try and make it out this week, and those to come.
Im going to be working out at Tyson’s Corner for the for-seeable future. I Will make every effort to be at these.
For me, it’s not about the ticket to EVO…it’s just really about playing. I’m going in with the mindset of “classes” more so than trying to get my name high on some board. I’m not that good, but I WANT & NEED to get better, just for my own personal satisfaction and standards.
I want to get solid and be able to give people a good game…win or lose. Can’t be free in 2010…Not jus’ me, but the DMV area…New and Old.
