Well I’m sure most of you tekken fans are aware by now some iterations of arcade tekken games are pretty unlikely to make it to next gen consoles. With this in mind I’m just trying to gauge general opinion what sort of support a possible petition to Namco would get in the future. With that said, speak up folks, let your voices be heard!
Personally with Tekken 6 being such an improvement over the last games I don’t think I’ll find myself playing the old games anymore, let alone paying money for them again.
They should work on a new TTT instead, I reckon.
TTT is the only one i would really be interested in playing again.
and i agree with bemaniak a new tekken tag would be sick, but the lag would be horrendous
we need online team battles for sure in t6
NO!! No console only! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again for those of you who missed it: look at Soul Calibur. That shit started getting serious flaws, as well as becoming extremely lame once they stopped releasing it in arcades first. It’s like only the arcade releases get play-tested, and the problems get ironed out for the console releases. Now it’s just pretty, but not worth being taken seriously. I don’t want Tekken going that route.
Um…that wasn’t the question.
while i’d enjoy ports, not saying many would play them for tekken. But companies also need to realize that constantly porting their older/better/interesting games (looking at you Capcom.) is not really the way to improve on the FG community/games/outlook.
Capcom, of all people, should really take note of this. It’s awesome we’re seeing ports of their old games (and getting HDR and the possible Vampire saviour HD remake.) but if people are fucking asking, they need to actually implement that popularity into a new game/spiritual sequel etc. Go the route of Blazblue in a sense. It doesn’t have to use the same characters, but capitalize and work your way up from said gameplay.
but back to Tekken, just provide everyone with a new TTT.
That is the understatement of the century. I’m licking my chops just thinking about BR’ized Ogre.
